We had a little trouble getting in, but it was quickly resolved. House was good needs a little updating, creaky floors, stairs needs new handrails (my grandson 7 years old fell down the basement stairs. Its just piece of wood nailed to the wall you can't get your hand around it.

Property was unlocked upon arrival, cabnets had dirty dishes with old food and milk, bunk beds had dirt in the sheets. Dry wall on stairs to down staira was broken and caved in. Property had no water pressure when hot water was used. It took upto 5 min for water to get hot then would only last another 5 min so bathing children was horrible. We called the managment office and they asked us to flip the breakers when we told them we where not at the property. The said they would send someone out and call us to let us know and we heard nothing back.

This propety is a HUGE Health and Safety Hazard. Its literally a BIOHAZARD. VRBO only refunded 104 of our trip even after they saw the images of the backup and were disgusted. I will be filing a complaint with City of Pigeon Forge Department of Tourism as well as BBB due to the sewage exposure. We stayed at this cabin in Mar 2026 and unfortunately experienced a serious plumbing issue that significantly disrupted our trip.On the 1st morning of our stay, when the washing machine drained, raw sewage backed up into the downstairs bathroom, coming up through the shower and toilet and overflowing onto the floor. VRBO site said to resolve issues directly with Host so we did.A plumber worked for several hours but was unable to resolve the issue and said he would be back Monday. We were instructed not to use the downstairs bathroom but could use the rest. (And he left sewage on the floor) Now the next morning sewage again came up through the toilet afyer washing dishes. At that point we were told not to use any water in the cabin at all, including sinks, toilets, or showers. To Mangement Co. finally moved us that evening, however, a significant portion of our trip had already been lost dealing with plumbers, cleanup, packing, and moving properties. We also had to miss a prepaid dinner reservation (-700).After returning home we noticed a Nov 2024 review mentioning a similar sewage backup, where the owner responded that the plumbing issue had been repaired. Obviously it had not.

Pros: The house is located about 5 minutes from the parkway, which was very convenient. Really lovely mountain view from the deck. The beds were very clean and comfortable to sleep on. We used the bunk beds and the large beds. Bathrooms were clean and they provided some complimentary small soaps, shampoo, etc. Heat and a/c worked well. The kids loved the slide off the deck and used it a lot. They also loved the game room downstairs with over a thousand arcade games on the arcade machine. The pool table was fun but a bit tricky against the walls and post to shoot.Cons: there was a bit of a funky misty smell to the place, but everything seemed clean. It could use maintenance in many places. The kitchen is pretty dated and there was only a tiny oven pan, but several pots and pans. All dishes are not microwave safe which was tough. The ice maker did not work and I he fridge is missing the bottom drawer. There was a kcup machine, but only single cups and no standard coffee maker. We did see several bugs in the basement, but millipedes and ants not infested or anything. The sun coming in on the back deck in late afternoon is blinding inside. The biggest issue we had was the driveway - it is long and gravel and drops off on the sides and needs to be filled in a lot of divets and ruts. It would be tricky in a car or van and treacherous if it rained heavily or any ice. The hot water burned my MIL and the temp fluxes badly and is hard to regulate with very little water pressure.

Family get away

First impression wasn’t the best. We arrived around 4:15 and the place wasn’t clean. We had to wait for the clean up crew to arrive. They did a great job cleaning but it took about 45 minutes out of our rental time to finish. We had issues with the hot water the entire time we were there. Do not advise stay for those over 60, as the stairs upstairs and downstairs are extremely steep. We had a major issue when the entire basement was flooded due to an issue with the toilet over flowing. The toilet constantly ran and over flowed. We didn’t recognize it until it was running under the stair cause and into the living area of the basement. The basement didn’t have heat. So it was very cool. We called management but I don’t think they understood the severity of the over flow since they only sent a few towels to clean up over flow. Luckily we found a sump pump in the basement and began pumping water out. It took about 2 hours of our vacation time to clean up the mess. In all we lost about 4/5 hours of vacation time trying to wait for property to be cleaned, figure out heating issue and fixing plumbing issue in basement. Definitely would not recommend for older people due to steep stairs.
