About the host
Hosted by Kevin Coughlin
Hi, I’m Kevin. I split my time between Massachusetts and the southern Maine coast, and Ogunquit has become one of my favorite places in New England.
I created Five Pines Coastal Cottage to be the kind of place I love staying in when I travel - comfortable, thoughtfully designed, and easy to enjoy after a day exploring. I’m a longtime Ogunquit regular and love helping guests discover the little things that make this area special, whether that’s a favorite Marginal Way sunset spot, a great lobster roll, or a hidden restaurant gem.
My goal as a host is simple: clear communication, a smooth stay, and a place you’ll want to come back to.
Why they chose this property
Why we love this neighborhood
Five Pines is tucked into a quiet cluster of classic mid-century cottages just outside Ogunquit’s downtown village. It’s close enough that you can easily head into town for dinner, the beach, or a walk along Marginal Way, but far enough away that the cottage feels relaxed and peaceful.
What we love most is how easy it is to enjoy everything from here — morning coffee on the porch, a quick trip to Ogunquit Beach, or exploring nearby coastal towns like Kennebunkport, Wells, Kittery, and Portsmouth.
It’s the kind of spot that makes a Maine getaway feel simple and easy.
What makes this property unique
What makes Five Pines unique
Five Pines Coastal Cottage was designed to feel like the kind of place you’d want to return to year after year. It’s a thoughtfully updated mid-century coastal cottage with an efficient, charming layout that makes the space feel both cozy and easy to enjoy.
What truly sets it apart are the details - comfortable linens, a well stocked kitchen, a gas grill for easy summer dinners, and beach gear ready to grab when it’s time to head to Ogunquit Beach.
We try to think through the little things that make a stay easier, and we’re always adding thoughtful touches based on guest feedback and recommendations.
As local hosts and proud Superhosts, our goal is simple: create a stay that feels welcoming, smooth, and well cared for. Many guests tell us it’s not just the cottage they love, but the overall experience of staying here.
