The host was communicative throughout my stay, which I appreciated. However, while the house was generally clean, it did not feel adequately prepared to welcome guests. The walls needed spot cleaning, there were insufficient washcloths, and the bedding was comparable to what you might find in a budget motel. More concerning, there were ants in both the bed and bathroom of the primary bedroom.Several thoughtful touches that make a rental comfortable and welcoming were missing. There was no coffee, no information about where to find the remotes, and no instructions for operating anything in the home. Additionally, the lighting throughout the house was excessively harsh.Overall, this was not a bad rental, but it felt more like a property made available for rent than a home intentionally prepared for a positive guest experience. The attention to detail, comfort, and hospitality that distinguish a five-star stay simply wasn’t there. My impression was that the property was maintained for occupancy rather than thoughtfully curated for hospitality. A little more care and attention could make a significant difference in the guest experience.
