Beautiful 3-bedroom townhome in East Downtown HTX

The property is located in the East Downtown area and is perfect for professionals, sports fans, medical visitors, students and families. The Medical Center, Toyota Center, Minute Maid Stadium, BBVA Stadium and all downtown locations are all minutes away. It is setup for work from home, and for hosting meetings. High speed internet (500 MBPS). 70 inch flat screen TV in the living room and 45 inch TVs in each bedroom, lots of street parking. The house has a security system that monitors 24/7 to ensure that you and your company are safe. There are 3 security cameras outside of the house and 1 inside the house that covers the entryway. These Cameras are not being monitored. They are there simply for the security of the guests and the house.

Had to contact Host via vrbo because it was AFTER check in & still no check in information rec'd. Contacted her on private phone because she hadnt responded. There is limited to no parking. A fire hydrant is almost in front of the home & law states to park 15 ft away. Unit on corner, so there is stop sign. Law states 10 ft from the stop sign. Told her parking issues & told to park on the street. She ignored the problem and never responded further after asking again. Problems inside:1)The down stairs smelled like weed.2)There are 2 bedrooms down/ 1 up, but ad states 4 bedrooms 3)We booked 4 ppl but only 3 coffee cups 4)No extra blankets, got some from my car.5) gnats buzzing around both up & downstairs 6)some kitchen cabinets were falling off 7)toilet paper holder upstairs not attached to the wall 8)the wifi password on the wall was all uppercase and should have been lowercase, contacted her & directed to the tv cabinet for correct one9) the floors were dirty & wouldve never walked barefoot 10) As im drying my hair, the light cover on the shower light (was in shower 10 min prior)fell off & broke in the tub! I couldve been seriously hurt. No compensation offerd (only "im sorry"),told me they didnt plan for the light to fall (i never said it was planned) Said i accused her of taking another cleaning fee; I ASKED because had maid service charge didnt recognize. She has no accountability or empathy & accusatory. Her guest review on me is retaliation. VERY mature. DONT RENT

We had a small, minor communication issue and it was resolved quickly cause vrbo and the owner got back to us. The apartment was as advertised. Very clean, the beds were comfy and the area was quiet! The only issue is the parking. You have to park on the street. If the spot in front of your place is taken, you have to park further away from the door. The location is close to a lot of north houston and it was easy to get around (if you're a big city driver). I'll definitely will rent this plan again.

Set up was nice but there were not enough dishes, no sheets for the roll away bed, no blankets and not enough towels. There was a misunderstanding of how many guests because of the 2 profiles under the reservation. The owner thought it was only 1 guest but I paid for 7.

Nice decor, but dirty, dusty and moldy. The extra bed provided is saturated with mysterious dark stains. There's mold inside the showers and refrigerator. The light fixtures and air vents are covered in a thick, furry layer of dust. There are very few old misshapen cookware to use. The patio is locked and unaccessible for guests. The host was extremely slow to respond. The day of arrival I had to reach out to VRBO customer service to get a response from him. They also had difficulty reaching him, but after several failed attempts they were successful. If you only plan on sleeping here and eating out, it'll serve that purpose. But if you're interested in a home away from home, keep looking.

Townhouse was close to the museum district (about 15-20 minute drive.) However, it was right next to the highway and train tracks. It was really noisy at night. If you are going to stay here, bring ear plugs. The beds were super uncomfortable and squeaky. My husband and I did not sleep well and ended up with back pain/neck pain. He opted to sleep on the couch for a firmer bed surface. The townhouse was only superficially cleaned. There were a lot of areas inside the house that were gross upon closer inspection (bathroom drawers, laundry closet, etc). Remote control for the upstairs living room tv was slow. The kitchen sink smelled really bad and could use some cleaning. Overall, would not recommend. Very surprised this place had a high rating. Also, we did not get any check in information until I messaged the owner about 20 minutes prior to arriving. They were responsive, but I feel like this information should have been given sooner.

Good but easily could have been great with easy fixes

The house was nice and met our needs. I was frustrated that there were some very simple things that could have been implemented that would have made our stay great (for example there was no oven mitt/pot holder, only given 1 dish towel, there was a dishwasher but no detergent was provided so we had to handwash everything and dry with 1 towel since there was also no drying rack) Pros The location was great and only about 7 minutes from the George Brown convention center. It was easy to find street parking just outside of the house. The mattresses were comfortable. The master bath tub is huge and the hot water does not run out before the tub is full. The washer and dryer were convenient and worked well. There were enough coffee pods provided that 4 adults were able to drink coffee every morning for 5 days and there were still more when we left. Cons The house was superficially clean but it is time for a deep clean. The air intake vent above the dining table was disgusting, the lighting fixture in the kitchen was moldy, there was mold in the drip tray in the refrigerator below the water dispenser. The host does not provide information about getting into the house until "around 1 hour" before check in which is understandable however I would have appreciated a message 1-2 days before arrival letting me know about this.

Great location

Very spacious and clean. Updated with new appliances and all the comforts of home. 10-15 minutes from downtown convention center depending on traffic. No driveway but I was always able to park right in front of the unit. I will definitely stay there again. Kitchen and living room are upstairs with master bedroom

Amazing communication with owners. Will note that there were not enough dishes for the amount of people that we booked for and the downstairs bathtub drains slowly making for ankle water showers. We are VERY pleased with our stay. Great location, very clean, amazing communication with owners, and a really good experience. We would definitely recommend and stay here again!

Camera and water baseboards

I was so confused on why the baseboards looked so water damaged. This is a simple fix. Another situation was the camera that was running and the owner states it’s only for when people coming in out of the house, but I got up and noticed the red receding light was on. I did not feel safe. Then to top it off the bathtub downstairs does not drain properly. Another easy fix. Word to wise sometimes come to the property you’re self and view the property. Your air filter need to be replaced as well. All these factors can be considered and fixed

BEAUTIFUL townhouse in Houston near George R Brown Convention Center

This place is conveniently located about 8 minutes drive from the convention center. Two of the bedrooms and one bath are on the first floor. The kitchen, living area, master bedroom and another bathroom are on the second floor. The only issues were the dune buggy-type vehicles running (loudly) up and down the road late into the night on Saturday. Two of the people staying with us mentioned that it would be nice to have mirrors in the bedrooms so that makeup can be applied in there so others can get into the bathroom. Beds are okay; pillows were a bit too flat, but those are minor issues that can be easily fixed. I would recommend this place to any looking to attend an event at the convention center. One other thing...there is no off-road parking and there is a fire hydrant right next to the door to the unit. We parked by it each night and did not receive any parking tickets, but you should be aware of this fact.

The overall cleanliness of the property was good. The only issue I had was with disposal of garbage you should definitely invest in a large trash can for outside to put the garbage in when bags are full. Stacking garbage in the kitchen for disposal after checkout is not feasible because we saw roaches in the process of doing that. There was no linen for the pullout sofa or any extra blankets and it was freezing downstairs but warm upstairs. Otherwise the rental was fine. Easy access right off the interstate but the area around the rental was not accurately depicted in the description of the place. Host was timely in their response when messages were sent.

It’s a nice place.

Needs dressers in the bed rooms so you can unpack and better trash cans in the bathrooms also need the amenities that it says it has but it didn’t. Other than that location was good place was clean and easy to get in out of.

Great Stay

This townhome was the right amount of living space for me and my family. The host, Olivet is very responsive to your questions or concerns. The home was equipped with all of your necessary items for normal everyday living. I would just suggest that the host ask their cleaning company to do a better job of cleaning the kitchen and restrooms. We will consider staying here again that next time we visit Houston.
