Family owned since 1975, this is where we raised our daughters, taking hikes, enjoying picnics in the woods, climbing rocks, fishing, and jumping into the river to cool off.
To fully enjoy the property, we have created a circular trail along the riverbank from the dock to the other side of the property then back up on simple stone steps next to a lovely wet-weather creek.
This trail is great for a short hike around the property or for fishing along the riverbank. A morning walk with coffee is very relaxing.
Please enjoy the plants (ferns, galax, wild ginger, mountain laurel, rhododendron) the rock formations (including a tiny cave) and the birds you will see and hear (pileated woodpeckers, red-shouldered hawks, barred owls, and more).
Sorry, insurance won’t allow for use of the boats, but please bring your own kayak or paddle board.
You can put your boat in at our dock, or you can drive 14 minutes to DeSoto Falls, put in and paddle from there. There is a parking charge at the falls of $4.00.
This section of the West Fork of Little River has a dam at both ends so paddling is easy. One dam is at DeSoto Falls, the other is at Camp Skyline. Our cabin is almost half-way between the two (but a little closer to DeSoto Falls). From our dock you would paddle left to go to the falls and right to paddle to the camp.
Round trip from dam to dam is about 4 miles and takes about 3 to 3.5 hours.
You can also rent kayaks at DeSoto Falls, most weekends May - October. Call DeSoto State Park for information.

Plenty of glass and plastic dinnerware and flatware.
In the basement you will find: a clothes washer and dryer, an iron and ironing board, a Cornhole Game, a Large Outdoor Jenga Game (that we play on the driveway), a card table, bag chairs and a second refrigerator.
In each bedroom there is an overhead fan, a small portable fan, and 2 power strips, one on each side of every bed for charging all of your electronics.
A small desk in the large upstairs bedroom provides a private workspace, if needed.
A charcoal grill, and an umbrella table with 6 chairs are near the firepit.
There is a dining table in the living room and another on the screened porch. This allows for several dining options. We enjoy eating outside.

Exceptionally clean. Very comfortable. Easy check in and check out process. Well equipped kitchen. Lots of room for a large group. Not secluded but still very private. Surrounded by nature. All in all, we had a lovely stay!
Wonderful stay for our girl’s weekend! Well stocked, very clean and we loved the screened in porch. Lovely touch with the addition of fans in each bedroom.
We very much enjoyed a long weekend here- wish we could have stayed longer! Great size for our extended family of 6 and a quiet, cozy, and peaceful location off the river. We enjoyed floating and swimming off the dock and lounging on the screened in porch playing games and doing puzzles. We would love to stay again and bring or rent kayaks.
This home was very nicely decorated, well laid out, perfect for family or a group of friends. We spent a lot of time on the huge screened in back porch. It was amazing We're planning a trip back in the near future
The house was perfect for our girls trip. The kitchen was well stocked. Plenty of dishes, cookware, and utensils along with all appliances for cooking. We didn't use any of the outside amenties this time. There was plenty of room for the 3 of us. Will be coming back next year.
My siblings joined me from all over rhe country for my 60th birthday. The house was perfect for our group. The waterfront is gorgeous. The location is away from it all but close to the shops in Mentone. Would rent again!
Beautiful house right on the river! The house was immaculately clean, plenty of space with beautiful windows to enjoy the view, back porch even had a heater to be able to enjoy the outside in winter. The listing pictures don’t do this home justice, we’ve stayed in dozens in Mentone over the years and this is now our favorite. Pretty private location with a large lot.

Thank you we enjoyed hosting you and hope to see you in the future!
The stay was pretty good, the only thing that we had a problem with is that the owner sat on the home security camera watching us and we could here there whole conversation while they was on, so we didn’t like that part but over all it was ok, we can even hear them ask each other how long was we there for,

The only camera on the property is at the front door and is for security purposes only.
It doesn't pick up anything but the entrance, none of the seating areas are in the view.
.Our group consisted of 4 sisters {3 of which were triplets} and 1 Niece. We enjoyed our time together and enjoyed each one having a bedroom. We ate at the Wild Flower one day and visited the local cites. The remaining time we prepared and ate at the house. We really enjoyed playing the Sequence game and had many laughs while playing.
Very clean, Great views. Huge screened in deck with awesome view of the river. deck has a heater. House was as described. Very clean, plenty of room. Kitchen has new appliances and stocked with all utensils and other cookware/dishes. Bathrooms were great. Firepit outside that is perfect. Pick up firewood before you get there. Grill is charcoal, so pick up a bag! No complaints! Thanks for a great time!
This was a great property for my crew of 6 (2 adults, 3 teens, and 1 older kid). The home is on a beautiful, wooded, riverfront lot with plenty of area to roam, swings for the kids, and porches and decks for days. I LOVED that the only TV in the home is in the living room. This helped keep everyone together during the day, reading, completing puzzles, playing games, and watching movies together. The heater on the porch allowed us to enjoy the screened porch some even in the chilly weather. There were plenty of beds and bathrooms for everyone to be comfortable and well-rested. The space was recently updated enough to have clean, modern conveniences while still maintaining some cozy, older home character. The wall of windows on the main floor lets in amazing light all day, so the beauty of your surroundings can be taken in year-round. I often find vacation rentals lacking in the dish, pots and pans, and appliance department, but this one had everything I needed to cook 2 meals a day for my family during our stay. We really enjoyed this property, and hope to return during a warmer time of year!

Misty,
I am so happy that you enjoyed your stay at Libby Lane. Our family still meets there often and enjoys the same things you do, being together in the living room, cooking together, and enjoying the outdoors. Please come again.

The property is amazing!! My husband and I came down to celebrate our anniversary (22years) So private and seculed on a nice double lot, very shaded , plenty of places to put hammocks and read. They had everything we needed and then some.. I used the nice binoculars to bird watch. We kayaked ( brought our own) to desoto falls( go left from the dock ) took less than an hour and we were leisurely floating. Will definitely be coming back with the fam!!
