Kathryn has visited our home more than once and has been a delight to host. Very polite guest, very conscientious of taking care of the home. We are honored and humbled to be able to have terrific guests who enjoy the home and also take excellent care of it. Thank you Kathryn for choosing, yet again, another stay with us.
The property was the best furnished we have ever encountered, including a loaded bird feeder in the back yard, which gave us a good number of hours of enjoyment. A good base of operations from which to explore the nearby waterfalls and hiking opportunities.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was very spacious with modern amenities and conveniently located within the heart of Mentone. We did not get to use the grill, but it was a nice addition. We enjoyed the fire pit and Greg and Susan were very responsive. Both my wife and I are vertically challenged so we found the downstairs bed unusually high, but comfortable. A stool nearby might make a nice future addition . And although we don’t consider Greg responsible for the neighbors activity, there was unexpected construction at the house next-door very early in the morning.

Mark was an outstanding guest. Susan, our property manager, our housekeeper and myself are incredibly humbled to have such a great guest a s Mark and his wife.
Per Mark's public review, we are looking to purchase a brand new "lower box spring" rather than the standard size one for the 1st floor bedroom mattress (mattress is a brand-new Beauty Rest mattress purchased and installed in the downstairs bedroom in October 2025) to lower the height of the mattress on the bed frame (I am 5'8" and it is even a bit tall for me).
Brand-new lower box spring to support the brand-new Beauty Rest mattress should be purchased and installed in the downstairs bedroom within the next 3 weeks.
Great area cabin was cleaned no issues fire pit out side was great fire place in screened in back porch was fabulous! This is the second year we have stayed at this cabin, we will be back
Very clean & well-furnished. Loved the sweet puppy visits in the morning. We used the fire pit every day- great chairs and fire pit tools. Loved the location and enjoyed the area a lot. Will definitely return.
We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin is beautiful and in a very quiet and peaceful neighborhood. We especially loved the screened in back porch! The owners and property manager were very helpful with any questions we had.
This home is beautiful and in a great location. We did see the dogs that come on the property and they were very friendly. The porch downstairs and the balcony upstairs off the bedroom were so nice to have with my dog. She loves sitting outside and watching all the birds and squirrels. The place was very clean. There are a couple of complaints/warnings(to other renters) that I would like to make. The bedroom downstairs has a very high bed. This trip I took my 85 and 84 year old grandparents. They could not climb into the bed. We even bought a stool and the bed was still so high. So they had to sleep on the pull out bed in the couch. My grandmother is 4'9" and the bed came right below her chest. The steps leading up to the cabin are very steep. The cabin is very beautiful and spacious. Just not elderly friendly. Host was very easy to reach and friendly.

Nice house. But said it slept six but no sheets or bedding for bed in cubby. Also tv was an issue was unplugged till we discovered that the next day and I guess they want you to stream everything because not a lot of channels to choose from. Also no filters for coffee maker. Had a bunch of chores required before we left to do which I never experienced before. But overall we had a nice time there and really appreciated that it was dog friendly and comfortable and the fireplaces on the porch and outside were really nice to have. Nice neighborhood especially with the water across the road.

Leasa was a very nice guest. We were honored and humbled to host her. For guests reviewing this rating, we are simply trying to provide responses to some of the feedback Leasa posted for guests considering renting our home:
1) Regarding the bedding for the additional 2 guests, we have a pull-out queen-size sleeper sofa in the great room of the home. Bedding for the queen size sleeper sofa is in the first floor bedroom dresser and our property manager, Susan, provided this information to Leasa when Leasa inquired about this.
2) In terms of one of the TV's being unplugged, not sure how this happened. Arll the TV's in the home are "Smart TV's" and streaming IS NOT required for guests. We have a monthly subscription with DirecTv, a DirecTv dish to provide satellite service to the home (there is a DirecTv remote located on the stand which has the DirecTv receiver for the home and can be used to turn on and off the large great room sized TV). DirecTv service is available to all TV's in the home via the main "Media Center" receiver in the great room. Guests also can log into their favorite streaming service (Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, HBO Max, Disney , etc.) on any of the Smart TV's in the home.
3.) As far as coffee filters for the fresh brewed coffee maker (We also have a Keurig for guests that prior K-Cup coffee), this is an item which is clearly listed in our "Guest Check-In" email notification, sent to guests 7 days in advance of their stay, which states this is an item we don't supply and they need to purchase this and bring with them for their stay (We don't supply these, although, the home typically has these as prior guests usually leave the ones they purchase as they don't utilize them all).
4.) In terms of the "bunch of chores" Leasa stated she had to perform, as an owner of 2 vacation rental properties along with my family having stayed in countless other properties listed on VRBO and other travel sites, our "Check-Out procedures" are consistent with every other home we have rented and are "standard practice" for what guests have to perform before checking out of the home. Taking trash bags out of bathroom trash cans, bagging up trash accumulated during a guests stay and depositing these into the roadside garbage can for the home; Stripping the comforters, sheets, mattress cover and pillow cases, gathering used towels and placing them on the floor of the laundry room, etc. is "standard check-out procedures" for every home my family, my friends and I have rented and "standard practice" for all vacation rentals. I don't know how else to respond to this feedback about "excessive chores". This is a vacation rental home, not a hotel. I don't know how else to respond to this feedback as what we ask of guests is the same as any other vacation rental home you would visit and their "Check-Out Procedures" list.
I hope these responses help future guests reviewing our feedback and this clarifies some of the feedback left by this guest. Overall, this feedback is not negative, however, if Leasa simply called our property manager Susan, to discuss these concerns so Susan could provide her with feedback, this probably would have alleviate the "public feedback".
We strive to exceed our guests "Stay Experience", however, there is not much we can do if a guests chooses to not share this feedback until after they check out and leave it in a public review of their stay.
WE ALWAYS remain open to answering questions and providing quick responses to our guests as they are the "life blood" of our business. We remain honored and humbled that Leasa chose a stay at our home.
We will definitely be back. Great place to stay. Away from all the rush but still close enough to everything we needed. Friendly neighbor and his precious dog. Thanks for allowing us to rent.
As usual we enjoyed our stay at Rest Easy. This was our 3rd time to stay here and we will definitely book Rest Easy again. Very clean and full of amenities. Quiet and restful atmosphere.
My wife and I bought our beautiful second home as a vacation home to get away from the hectic pace and stress of our jobs. That was 14 years ago. Now we have 2 beautiful daughters, the focal point of our lives. This is part of the reason we decided to rent our home out, for others to enjoy the home as well as we simply don't have the opportunity to get up to the home as often as we would like. We are a family of four and do utilize and enjoy the property, unfortunately, not as much as we would love to as we moved to a different part of Atlanta.
Why they chose this property
Our home is the perfect getaway from the hectic pace of your daily job, stresses in life and provides the opportunity to "disconnect", relax and choose what events and sites to take in within the Mentone area, should you choose to do so. You are in close proximity of taking in all of the picturesque parks and events in and around Mentone, while still enjoying the privacy of not being immediately in downtown Mentone. The home is secluded yet right within the city limits. You can either walk to downtown Mentone via the sidewalk alongside Hwy. 117 or commute there via a 3 minute car ride. What also makes this home special is that is sits right across the street from the eastern section of Little River where Camp Skyline is located, within a short walking distance of the camp if you have kids attending.
