COZY HILLSIDE HOME WITH A BEAUTIFUL DECK, FIRE PIT, SAUNA & PLENTY OF PARKING

Beautiful Alaskan style home. Surrounded by trees on over a half acre. Large deck BBQ grill and fire pit available to enjoy the ambiance. This lovely four bedroom home sleeps eight comfortably. Upstairs master bedroom includes a sauna and private balcony with table and chairs. We are willing to accommodate a few more with notice of extra guests. There is over a half dozen parking spaces available for guests. We welcome parties/celebrations birthdays, etc but please ask to be considerate of quiet hours.
House is furnished with everything you could possibly need to make you feel at home.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

This home was in a beautiful and private setting but not far from town. The home was very comfortable, clean and well appointed. Spacious enough for the seven adults in our group. The sauna was a nice extra. Would stay here again.

House was exactly as described. Kitchen was stocked with everything imaginable and more. Beds were comfy. Location was convenient. Host was responsive and easy to work with. Also enjoyed the moose visit in the driveway.

I wish we stayed here for our whole Alaskan vacation! Christina was so pleasant to work with. I had quite a few questions and she had all the answers and responded quicker than I expected! The black out blinds worked really well even in the upstairs master bedroom that doesn’t have doors at every entry point. Everyone felt safe and comfortable in their beds. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need. The washer and dryer worked well. The upstairs worked well for us because we only had our son stay in the upstairs bedroom for one night and we were so exhausted at the end of everyday we could have fallen asleep in the living room. As other reviewers have stated the sauna is accessible only theough the master bedroom as well as the bedroom and widow’s walk are only accessible through the master bedroom. Which was no problem for us because we were all family. Also, the driveway is shared and the house is connected to the house next door through a garage. I felt completely safe and the neighbors seemed friendly. If we come back to Anchorage and this place is available I would book it in a heartbeat. The neighborhood was cute and very safe too.

Amazing house with everything you need

We really enjoyed our stay! The home had everything we could have needed. The garage made it nice to keep the car snow-free and warm with direct access to the house. Cozy family room with plenty of space. Two bedrooms upstairs (Master with a King, and a 2nd BR), plus a private deck upstairs and sauna, and two bedrooms downstairs. 1 bathroom upstairs, 1 full on the main level, plus a 2nd half bath made for plenty of bathroom space. We used the full washer and dryer almost daily. Kitchen had everything you could need to cook, plus spices, etc. We were here in the Winter, but the large deck and grill would be nice in the warmer weather as well. Property is a bit South of town, but a very short drive and the location made it nice to be away from it all. We saw a moose feeding just off the road less than a block from the house. Lots of extra blankets, etc. This was like a second home away from home. Host was very responsive and home was easy to access. Large walk-in mud room area just off the garage was great to leave snowy boots to dry and hang all the snow gear. Highly recommend!

Cool and quirky

So upon arriving we were a little taken back that the outside wasnt kept up. It didnt look like the picture at all when we drove up, just weeds and such that needed to be cleaned up. Not a huge deal, but it’s the second thing you see when you drive up. The first thing you notice is another house right next to it on the property and people living there. So that was strange, and not mentioned. The place does have 4 beds and was big enough for our party of 7. There was a couple things that should be noted. The king size bed is in a loft area, no door or privacy. The sauna is up there too, right off the bed area. There’s another room upstairs that does have a door. So sharing the upstairs with maybe your children would be fine, but not another couple. It’s awkward that people have to go through your “area” to use the sauna too. SO nobody used it because it’s not private. Other than that, it was clean overall and the place was big enough and had everything we needed for our stay.Also just a heads up, even though this place sleeps 8, if you book for more than 2 people you get charged 10 per person per night, so we had another 250 charge for our stay. The host was kind enough to figure this out for us, but it was still kinda a surprise.

Our home is spacious yet cozy. Lots of windows and natural light. Beautiful front deck with fire pit and private secluded upstairs deck with sauna around the corner. Alaskan wild life frequently seen along with birds squirrels and eagles. Northern light views when at least expected. A little taste of Alaska captured on this cozy Hillside home .
