Our beautiful Davis Mountains surround this cozy cabin, nestled in Limpia Canyon, just minutes from downtown Fort Davis and located on part of the historic Sproul Ranch! The cabin sleeps four in a one king bed/one bath, including full-size sleeper sofa in living area. The eat-in kitchen is fully equipped for all your cooking needs. Two covered porches (back porch screened) provide the perfect spot for entertaining, bird watching, star gazing, reading and relaxing. Come sit back, relax, enjoy the views, and take a hike!

Remote location was quiet and private but very close to Ft Davis as well as other area attractions (Mcdonald Observatory, Balmorhea State Park/San Solomon Springs Pool, Ft Davis State Park, Marfa, etc.) The cabin was clean, well-equipped and the bed was super-comfortable. Saw aoudad sheep and many Texas songbirds during our stay. There's hiking available with great views of this spectacular ranch property

This is an incredible cabin! The location is perfect, close to everything, but very secluded. Beautiful property and fun vibe. I wasn't able to make the McDonald nighttime tour, but was rewarded with my own Dark Skies experience at the cabin including a shower of shooting stars. The owners were great to deal with and had thought of everything for the place. Highly recommend this spot if you are in the Fort Davis area.

The cabin offers seclusion, wildlife, and all the amenities one needs to have a relaxing stay while only a 5 minute drive to Fort Davis. The lack of light in the area makes for great star gazing.

My Dream Cabin!

We loved the cabin and the secluded location. Porches on each side gave us a beautiful view on each side. The decorating was gorgeous and cabin had everything we could have ever needed. Enjoyed watching the wildlife around the cabin. Would love to go back again.

Over 130 years later, the ranch is still a working cattle ranch, owned and operated by the fourth, fifth and sixth generations of Sproul descendants.

We love Limpia Canyon and want to share a piece of our paradise with you! We built the cabin in 1998 so that people could come experience the serenity and majesty of the Davis Mountains.
