At 4131 Coyote Fork, exploring Northstar and the surrounding Truckee area is refreshingly easy, whether you're here for snowy winter adventures or sun-filled summer escapes. From complimentary shuttles to scenic strolls, getting around is stress-free and convenient.

❄️ Winter Travel Tips
Skip the parking hassle and take advantage of the Northstar Shuttle, a free, resort-wide service that runs frequently throughout the day. It offers easy access to the Village, ski lifts, and recreation center, making it the smartest way to move around during busy snow days.

If you plan to drive, please be prepared—4WD or AWD with snow tires is strongly recommended, and carrying chains is required by law during storms. Parking can be limited on peak weekends and holidays, so early arrivals or shuttle use is best.

☀️ Summer Movement Made Easy
During warmer months, the shuttle continues to serve the resort, offering quick trips to dining, shopping, and outdoor events in the Village. Many guests also enjoy walking or biking the paved paths that wind through Northstar—ideal for trail access or a relaxing ride through the trees.

🚌 Venturing Into Truckee?
Downtown Truckee is just a short drive away. For a more eco-conscious ride, hop on the TART (Tahoe Area Regional Transit) system, which connects Northstar with Truckee, Kings Beach, and other North Lake Tahoe destinations.

🚦 Avoiding Peak Travel Times
During ski season, roads can get busy in the early morning and late afternoon. Plan around these windows, or let the shuttle do the work so you can fully unwind and focus on the fun.

From trails to taverns, gondolas to galleries—your mountain escape starts the moment you arrive. At 4131 Coyote Fork, convenience comes standard.

Wonderful small condo

The location can’t be beat! You literally walk out the door, go to the back of the building and you are on the ski trail down to the gondola and lift! Condo was very clean, excellent small kitchen, VERY comfortable beds, including the Murphy bed in the living room. Ken was super responsive. Only minor downside is that the condo is quite small for a family of 4 including 2 teenagers, for example, the couch can seat 2, maybe 3 people, and there are no other comfy chairs to chill on besides barstools or folding chairs. We were OK with that, knowing that we were going to be able to ski in and out was better for us.

Great location, but a bit cramped

Hello fellow VBRO-ers ... First Ken and Danielle are great hosts, and did a wonderful job preparing the space for our visit ... everything was clean, well stocked and they were easy to reach whenever we had questions (A).Second, the location is excellent ... the ski slope in the trees behind the condo is a short 30 second run to the Village Express chairlift and main Gondola near the rental shop. It took a few seconds to remove our skis and walk in the front door of the round floor unit ... exactly as described (A).Lastly, the overall space is a bit cramped for more than 2 people and other than the bar stools, there weren't any table and chairs to sit around for meals or games. The master bedroom has a king bed (very comfortable), but there is only a foot of room around 2 of 3 sides to navigate (so be careful you do not hit your head on the wall mounted TV). Also, there is only one night stand by the bed and no dresser for cloths; you do get half of the closet hangers. (C).In the common area, the owner has installed a king sized Murphy bed (also very comfortable), but it's a challenge to find a place to store the sofa when the bed is folded down (C).The kitchen is clean, well-equipped, and good to cooking most meals, but challenging for more than 1 person at a time (B-)Overall, it is a small, well-furnished, clean condo located directly on the slopes ... so, if you are visiting Northstar to ski, and sleep it's the perfect spot for a few fun days on the slopes.
