We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay on Ocracoke! Thank you for taking the time to post your review.
The house is old. I believe it is priced based on amount of rooms. It is very dark due to tree coverings. There is nowhere to sit outside and get sun. House smells very musty which I also attribute to the tree coverings. The floorboards are heaving in the kitchen and a few other rooms so you cannot open the closet doors - which is where all the pots and pans and microwave are stored. The washer and drier are outside. Full size. But the dryer is on top of the washer. I am 5’ 7” and could not see the knobs to navigate the dryer. I had to climb on a plastic chair to work the machine. At 60 I did not want to do this. And sadly i learned too late the dryer was filled with sand and did not work. We wanted to sit in the screened in porch to eat. All the picnic table covers were covered in mold. So…. Cleaning staff did an amazing job inside. No complaints there. But I would not rent this house again. Way overpriced.
