Barrio Pilo, a neighbourhood in La Fortuna, is home to this holiday home. Baldi Hot Springs and Los Lagos Hot Springs are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore La Fortuna Waterfall and Arenal Volcano National Park. Puentes Colgantes del Arenal and Arenal Adventure World are also worth visiting.
Gaby’s home was perfect for our base while exploring La Fortuna. Gaby and Victor greeted us like family when we showed up. The house is perfect. Beds are comfy, plenty of space. Easy walks into town. Easy drives to go wherever you want to explore. Gaby was always available for communication and offered to set anything up or just give recommendations. DO NOT PASS on this place. We will be back here next time in La Fortuna.
The Hostess Gabby & her husband was exceptional! Very welcoming & the pictures on line of the property did not do the house justice. The property exceeded our expectations! Everything was very accessable & Neighbourhood felt safe.
Our stay was WONDERFUL! This is the place to stay if you want to be close to La fortuna town. We walked into town for all our food. Gaby & Victor were the best hosts you could ask for. Quick to respond, helped book excursions and even has snacks for us when we arrived! There were 4 adults in our group and we felt so welcomed and taken care of. The house was extremely clean and had comfortable beds and pillows. Don’t look any farther, book Gaby’s Home!
We cannot say enough wonderful things about Gaby and Victor’s hospitality during our stay in La Fortuna. From the moment we arrived, we genuinely felt welcomed. Gaby greeted us with a homemade Costa Rican dish that was both incredibly delicious and such a thoughtful way to begin our stay.Their home was perfect-clean, comfortable, everything you need for a home away from home. Morning coffee on the porch was the best way to start the day. Location offered an easy walk to shops and restaurants.Gaby and Victor went above and beyond, and it is our hope that we may return again someday soon.
Gaby was a very generous host. She greeted us at the property with chilled coconuts to drink and a beautiful fresh fruit platter. She also provided us with some excellent local coffee and a yummy homemade local Costa Rican dessert. The house is very clean and gorgeous and well furnished with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. It can comfortably accommodate up to 3 couples. A nice mini-market is only two blocks away and a full supermarket only 3 blocks away and there are a lot of nice restaurants and sodas within walking distance (15 minute walk into the heart of the town). The only negative is one of the neighbors has two small outside dogs that bark very loudly day and night at anything coming down the street, and a lot of wild animals/cars/people come down the street. If loud dog barking bothers you, you won’t enjoy the property.
The photos do not do this home justice! The home is clean and modern with all of the dishes and kitchen supplies you might need. The sheets and towels were crisp and white just like a 5 star hotel. We spent mornings and evenings in the rocking chairs on the covered front porch enjoying the weather and view of Arenal volcano. Also, the parking is covered and gated allowing us to park next to the house out of any potential rain. There is a small convenience store around the corner that we walked to for milk, bread, snacks and small items. We were able to walk a few blocks north into the town center were all of the restaurants and Sodas are located as well as a Central Park to people watch and enjoy the surroundings. The host made us a delicious treat for our arrival (which was wonderful after our long travel day) and gave us a homemade treat to take with us when we departed. This home exceeded our expectations and I would definitely stay here again.
