Our stay here was perfect. We are already looking when to book again. Check-in is easy, great hosts, clean, comfortable bed and pillows. They have everything you need to cook meals. We did not leave during our stay. We spent time on the covered porch, by the fire pit, and walking the trails with our dogs.

Wonderful cabin with tremendous views of rolling hills, vineyard and mature stands of pine trees. Very nice hiking on private property. Host is considerate with snacks, beverages and food items in case you left essentials home or want something different.

This was our second time staying at Shady Grove. We truly enjoy the quietness and being tucked away in this cabin. Its location alone would bring us back but the hosts add personal touches that go above and beyond making us & our pup feel welcomed.

We were asking to reserve property for same time next year in less than 24 hours of being there, speaks for itself. Our dog loved being there. Lots of trails and plenty of smells. Sorry the ratings don’t go to 100!!

What a perfectly pristine complete package this place is the pictures and descriptions don’t do it justice. Feels like the place is brand new. Refrigerator being stocked with the basic essentials and enough breakfast for the whole weekend and didn’t even finish was a huge bonus especially after driving from NY It truly is secluded with your own private road. No creepy neighbors no prying eyes what’s so ever very easy to locate it’s truly a wonderful experience the hostesses thinks of every detail to make sure you’re comfortable good location to hiking trails as well

This property was absolutely beautiful! So quiet and peaceful. The views of the vineyard were a wonderful feature. Our hosts spoiled us and our pup. The cabin was very cozy and relaxing. The outdoor area was great for grilling and sitting by the fire pit. 5 stars on everything.

Very impressed with the clean cabin. There was a lot of attention to details and supplies, i.e. shampoo, toothbrushes, robes, paper products, and kitchen supplies. And pet friendly, which was very important to us!

The hosts, Melissa & Phylis have put a lot of work into this adorable little cabin. It’s an amazing place to get away from the hubbub of every day life. So much wildlife and beautiful views. We just adore them for allowing dogs. Fergus knew where he was as soon as he got out of the car, and was begging us to go for walkies! (This was our second trip here!) Will definitely stay again! Thank you for everything you do for us renters!

This cabin was perfectly comfortable! Fresh, clean, well equipped, serene, and cared for by such thoughtful hosts. Dog friendly was a huge bonus for us and our pups loved it, also! With the hiking trails and pond on property, you never have to leave. We will definitely come back to this little slice of heaven!

Excellent location and cabin

We love staying here. The cabin is exceptionally clean which is very important to us. The location is excellent with easy access to Roanoke, Bedford, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. The cabin is well stocked, so that when guests arrive they are free with much of what they need for their stay.
