This four-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bath home with four king beds will comfortably accommodate up to 14 guests, so bring the whole family!

Why choose between the beach and a pool? Carpe Diem has both! Swim in your own private, screened-in, heated swimming pool or head just 100 steps to the private, friendly beach.

The home contains bed and bath linens, a garden tub, hardwood floors… great care and attention to detail – it provides a beautiful vacation! We pride ourselves on cleanliness and assure you of an extremely clean and inviting home upon arrival so that you may relax and enjoy your visit! There is a wide variety of amenities, including a freezer, microwave, ice maker, oven, ceiling fans, refrigerator, Wi-Fi access, coffee maker, Keurig, cooking range, televisions, cookware, dishwasher, utensils, washer and dryer, a wet bar, and much more.

The house is two levels, with beautiful landscaping outside and wonderfully decorated on the inside!

One hundred twenty-five steps to the beach from an easy path on one side and a 2-minute walk to the Intracoastal Waterway on the other. This quiet, but hip area of Vilano/North Beach is famous for surfing, paddle boarding, fishing, shark teeth hunting, and much more. You can walk, bike, or drive to many great restaurants within minutes. Our comfortable home is a 5-minute drive to the fun and activity-filled oldest town in America, St. Augustine! The Vilano Beach pier is a 2-minute car drive away (or a 40-minute beach walk), where you'll find a Publix grocery store and a mini outdoor mall. A local post office, bait and gear store, a boat rental facility, gas dock, a local pub, and more restaurants near and on the Intracoastal beach are in the same area. It is a 20-minute drive to the home of the PGA at TPC Sawgrass and a 2.5-hour drive to Disney World.

For an additional $200/week or less, the pool can be heated to a maximum of 84 degrees. Pool heat must be added to your reservation at least 48 hours before arrival. Please note that we do not heat the pool from Memorial Day through mid-September.

Great vacation house

Beautiful spacious house, has all the comforts of home. Short walk to the beach and close to several restaurants. Only a 10-15 minute drive to downtown St Augustine. We will be back next year.

Daughter's Wedding

We rented this house for my daughter's wedding at tge Lightener Museum. My parents and my sisters joined us. The house was perfect with every bedroom having it's own bathroom. The pool was also a hut with my niece and nephews. Would absolutely stay again.

Perfect size and location

I rented this house for my whole family to stay, 12 of us, and we never felt crowded or smushed. We had plenty of room. The beach is right across the road, which was super easy to get too. We really enjoyed our stay. The only problem was the oven went on the fritz in the evening, but the company called me back first thing the next day. We would definitely stay here again’

Vilano Beach vacation

The house, location and communication with property management were all excellent. The only cautionary comment that I have is regarding the size of the pool. If there are children involved, please note that the pool is quite small. However, the property is directly across the street from an ocean beach. All and all, very nice accommodations.

Dated, but nice enough

The house is large, with 4 full bed/bath combos. The proximity to the beach is fantastic, and it’s close enough to things to be convenient, but far enough to offer some solitude. We would stay again. That said, the entire house needs updating. I stayed in the room above the garage, which was notably warmer than the rest of the house. The fridge/freezer do not close reliably, and sometimes pop open if you aren’t paying attention. The pool is smaller than the pics make it look.

Carpe Diem

The home is very nice except if you think you are renting 4 full bedrooms. The 4th bedroom was a total waste it only had a single Murphy bed and 2 very uncomfortable cots. The bathroom shower had roaches and a dirty mat. The location is not St Augustine it is on VillanoBeach which is nice it's just not in St Augustin as advertised. Cindy at the rental office is lovely.

Nice House

The house was very nice. However, the listing was a bit misleading. It shows on the breakdown as having 5 bedrooms, one of which includes the futons and singles (roll away beds) but the "futons" are really hide away couch beds in both living rooms, NOT a private room, and the roll aways were in two seperate bedrooms in different parts of the house up 2 different staircases. There were a few things damaged like the refrigerator door that makes it hard to close at times. The air conditioning went out, but they were very responsive to getting it fixed. Once that was done we had a great time with wonderful friends. The walk to the beach is fairly easy with a great beach area! Overall it was a great vacation in a beautiful house!

Overall nice property

Property wasn't quite as described. Although, it is a short walk to the beach- you do have to cross a 55mph highway to get to the beach (this was a little difficult for older members of our group & a bit dangerous for younger ones). We had a group of 14 family members with us. The 2 futons are actually very uncomfortable pull-out couches in 2 different living rooms & the 2 twin beds are rollaway beds. We had plenty of towels, but ran out of toilet paper halfway through the week with 14 people using bathrooms. They only supplied us with 1 extra roll in each bathroom. Also, lots of extra pillows, but no pillow cases. My suggestions to the home owner would be to supply a few 'extras' ie: extra toilet paper, paper towel, zip lock bags, more blankets, throw blankets, games, pillow cases, a binder with pamphlets of things to do in St. Augustine & restaurants would have been extremely helpful. Overall a fine experience, we never had any major issues that we needed to contact anyone about. Check in/out was very easy.

Mixed feelings

While the home overall is ok, there were a few issues. First, the pool. It is SMALL. I wasn't expecting huge, but his was tiny. Second, the kitchen was a disorganized nightmare. We finally just dumped out all of the drawers and organized to find enough silverware for the 6 of us to use. Pans need to be replaced. Beds were hard in the 2 rooms I tried. Girls said theirs were "super firm" as well. The toilet in the master suit leaks continuously, causing soaked rugs and unpleasantly wet feet. Been a problem for a while judging by the ceiling stains. 2 showers also leaking through ceiling. The house is just tired. There were cobwebs in the lighting fixtures, and the gross mess beside the washing machine was disturbing. Thick coat of dust and grease above the stove exhaust. Doors to pool deck stuck and difficult to open. We finally got 2 to function. The furnishings in the house are nice, but the home needs basic repairs and more thorough cleaning.

Great location near the beach. The house was beautiful and comfortable for my family of 13 plus pets

Overall our experience was amazing. This was my first time using VRBO. The house was clean, spacious and fully equipped with what we needed. The pool is a bit small but all our 6 kids enjoyed it. All the house equipment functioned properly (TV, Kitchen, Bathrooms, Washer, Dryer etc.) Having a bathroom in each room was great and it saved us alot of time from having to wait on each other and head out to our outings. Our ONLY discomfort that almost ruined our welcome and stay was upon arrival. I had received all documents and had a follow up call with Cindy from the office regarding the instructions and rules of the house a fee days before traveling. We knew check in was at 3pm but because we wanted to drive up early to enjoy the beach prior to checking in, we drove up to the house to see the location and make sure we were I'm the right place. We parked our cars on the side of street and were having a family meeting. We saw another car parked on the side of the house and already knew it was housekeeping. We knew not to knock or try to enter the home. A older lady came out of the home and started asking us who we were, what were we here for and overall questioning us in a VERY RUDE manner. I personally answered her every question as I had booked the home and knew any and all information she asked for. She almost made us go to the property office to get keys when I specifically told her we had a keypad code to enter. She basically shushed us away and told us to come back at 3pm. We left the property uneasy. But we had no other alternative to change our stay as we were 13 guests with pets on the 30th of Dec. If we had not encountered this person then our vacation welcoming 2019 would have been PERFECT. We would love to stay here again and would recommend to others. Just make sure you're not even on sight of the property before 3pm or you will get scrutinized.

No Large Pool

I would have loved to give this property all 5 stars. When they put in the description BIG POOL home and the pool is the size of a large hot tub I found that very deceptive. The home itself was lovely and clean with comfortable bedrooms.

Spring Break in Vilano Beach

Good times had by all. The house is as advertised, it is very close to the beach in a nice neighborhood. The house is big enough to allow for separation, one of the bedrooms is up a separate staircase from the other three bedrooms. As mentioned by others, the pool is small but it is perfect for 2 children to play endlessly.The beach was not crowded and great for long walks at sunrise and sunset.We went on a “children friendly” ghost tour, visited several attractions and overall had a great, immersive experience.Pizza at Vinny’s and fried green tomatoes at the Reef are recommended.Both dogs enjoyed many neighborhood walks.Would stay here again.

Siblings vacation

Lovely home in a quiet neighborhood. Four master bedrooms, very clean and comfortable. The pool is small, but that was not a problem for us. We all enjoyed our stay very much.
