This was the worst property we have ever stayed. Mold in house, all bathrooms had mold in every corner, towels smelled, roaches (one found in the bed and another wrapped up in clean towel) dirty and stained carpet, bull frog in upstairs bathroom. Smoke detectors not working and light bulbs out, many, many more issues. We arrived on Thursday night and went directly to rental office Friday morning to report problems to include pictures, receptionist told us they would send housekeeping over that afternoon and no one showed up. DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOUSE

We’re sorry your stay fell short, and we appreciate your feedback. This home consistently receives wonderful reviews, so we’re taking your experience seriously. We inspected the bathrooms and found no active mold, but we’re replacing the aging caulk. We also tested the smoke detectors, replaced the bulbs, rewashed the towels, and are scheduling a pest retreatment and another carpet cleaning. We do not know how a frog got into an interior 2nd-floor bathroom, but we’re sorry it happened. This is a great home, and we’re sorry it didn't meet your expectations.

Our group was eight adults. One person had to sleep on the fold-out couch in the front sitting room. The property was very nice. A couple of things greeted us on our arrival. A bi-fold pantry door was off its hinge and the foosball table had three handles which were not attached. The property was very close to the beach, but you do have to cross a two-lane road. Our biggest issue was: only two trash bags were provided for the week, forcing us to buy more. Also, we had to buy toilet paper and paper towels because not enough were provided. A small item, but an irritant: the wrong filters were provided for the coffee maker. It required basket filters, and only cone filters were provided. Overall, an enjoyable experience...but could have been better.

We appreciate you letting us know about the pantry door and the foosball handles; we've repaired both. We provide a starter supply of basics like trash bags, toilet paper, and paper towels, so for longer stays and larger groups, we recommend bringing extra. We don't provide coffee filters, so guests should bring their own. We hope to host you again!

Thank you for your feedback. We will address the maintenance issues you mentioned. The pool is cleaned every Friday. We noticed you found some obsolete TV remotes from an old system, and we have thrown them out. The switches are pretty straightforward, and the hinges do sometimes squeak. Hopefully, this did not ruin your stay! This is a very popular, well-cared-for, large-pool home.  It is always well-reviewed and has many repeat guests.

Beautiful home. Roomy with plenty of space for everyone. There is also a foosball table that we enjoyed playing in our downtime. Having a bathroom in each room was fantastic. Beds in all the rooms were comfy. Kitchen was well stocked with pans and pots etc for cooking. We used the sofa bed in the sitting area and it was surprisingly comfortable as well. Walk to the beach is very short and a great big beach to enjoy. Communication with owner was quick and informative. Overall great stay and highly recommend.

Fantastic Fall Vacation

Siblings vacation

Lovely home in a quiet neighborhood. Four master bedrooms, very clean and comfortable. The pool is small, but that was not a problem for us. We all enjoyed our stay very much.

Fabulous Beach Oasis

Carpe Diem was such a great place to stay. The house is beautiful, everything worked great, convenient walk to the beach. Cute neighborhood and they had everything we needed. The pool is on the smaller side, but it was perfect for us. We would definitely stay here again!
