The moment you turn off the main road and begin the winding drive up through the trees, something shifts. The air smells of pine and cool mountain earth. The noise of everyday life falls away. And when The Stargazer finally comes into view — perched above a sweeping valley of forested ridgelines stretching to the horizon — you'll exhale in a way you haven't in months. This is what a true mountain escape feels like.
Welcome to The Stargazer Nestled in the Blue Ridge foothills outside Jasper, Georgia, The Stargazer is a newly remodeled 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom mountain cabin that sleeps up to 6 guests in complete comfort. Thoughtfully updated with fresh flooring, modern finishes, and curated furnishings, this retreat strikes the perfect balance between rustic mountain character and polished, contemporary living. Whether you're planning a family vacation, a couples' retreat, a friend group getaway, or a working vacation from somewhere with better scenery, The Stargazer delivers the full mountain experience — secluded, serene, and spectacular. Professionally managed by Southern Charm Vacay, you'll have expert support from arrival to departure, with a team that knows these mountains and genuinely cares about your stay.
The Layout The cabin is spread across two floors, each with its own character and comfort. On the main floor, you'll find two well-appointed guest bedrooms — one furnished with a plush king bed, the other with a comfortable queen — sharing a full guest bathroom with a tub/shower combo. The heart of the main floor is the open-concept living area: a generous living room anchored by a cathedral pine ceiling, a wall of windows that frames the mountain views, and a cozy electric fireplace that sets the mood on cool evenings. The eat-in kitchen and bar area flow seamlessly into the living space, making it easy to socialize while meals come together. A handsome 8-person dining table with formal seating sits just off the kitchen — ideal for shared dinners, game nights, or morning coffee conversations that stretch on longer than planned. A convenient laundry closet rounds out the main level.
Head upstairs and the experience opens up further. The master suite is a true sanctuary: a king bed, sitting area, smart TV, and a private den — plus the quiet of the upper level to help you truly recharge. A third guest bedroom on the upper floor features a trundle bed (two twins), making it a natural fit for kids or extra guests. And the 2nd-level loft kids area is a genuine highlight — a dedicated play space that gives younger guests their own territory to explore, keeping everyone happy and the downstairs relaxed.
Your Outdoor Paradise If The Stargazer has a star attraction, it lives outside. The deck is where mornings begin, evenings linger, and memories are made. Step out to find your private hot tub — available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, every season of the year — positioned to capture panoramic views of the forested mountain ridgelines and the valley below. There is genuinely nothing quite like sinking into warm water under an open sky as the sun sets behind the Blue Ridge, the stars beginning to appear one by one overhead. It's the kind of moment that reminds you why you left home.
When the evening cools, gather around the fire pit with Adirondack chairs pulled close. Guests supply their own firewood, which means you get to choose your experience — a small, intimate flame or a roaring bonfire that lights up the treeline. The outdoor dining area with its propane grill and comfortable seating is the ideal stage for everything from weekend breakfasts to slow-cooked group dinners under string lights. Multiple vantage points across the property offer unobstructed views of forested mountains in every direction. Whether you're sipping your morning coffee on the deck, stargazing from the hot tub, or watching the sunrise paint the ridgeline in shades of gold and amber, the outdoors here is not a backdrop — it's the main event. In autumn, the surrounding hardwoods ignite in fiery color. In winter, the bare ridgelines reveal sweeping long-distance views. In spring, wildflowers carpet the forest floor. In summer, the elevation keeps the heat at bay. The Stargazer is a property for all seasons.
Kitchen & Dining The Stargazer's fully stocked kitchen is built for real cooking, not just reheating takeout. Brand-new stainless steel appliances and fresh granite countertops give the space a clean, modern feel, while the thoughtful layout and complete equipment inventory make cooking for a group genuinely enjoyable. You'll find everything you need: full cookware set, baking dishes, wine glasses, serving pieces, and a coffee station stocked with pods, sugar, and creamer to get your morning started right. The bar area overlooking the living room is the social hub of the kitchen — the perfect spot for the sous chef to chat with the living room crowd while dinner comes together. The dishwasher handles cleanup, and the 8-person dining table ensures nobody's eating in shifts. Whether you're making a full mountain breakfast before a hike, hosting a slow Sunday dinner, or just grazing on snacks by the fire, the kitchen at The Stargazer has you covered.
Entertainment & Family Features The Stargazer is designed to keep everyone engaged — whether that means off-grid relaxation or in-cabin entertainment. Every bedroom is equipped with a smart TV, so guests can stream their favorites from the comfort of their own space. The dedicated workspace makes The Stargazer a legitimate option for remote workers who want mountain air and connectivity without sacrificing productivity. Board games and books are stocked for rainy afternoons or screen-free evenings. The children's playroom gives families an invaluable asset — a space where kids are genuinely entertained, giving parents a chance to actually relax. The 2nd-level loft kids area adds another dimension for younger guests, creating a multi-level adventure of its own. Ceiling fans throughout keep the air circulating in warmer months, and the electric fireplace handles the ambience in cooler ones. For groups that like a little friendly competition, the bowling alley brings a truly unexpected and memorable activity right into the cabin itself.
