Bayfront Home was lovely, however we did feel that the realtor’s listing was a bit deceiving for several reasons explained below. The home is older which we expected. Being from the gulf coast ourselves, we truly appreciated the nostalgia of the decor. The paintings on the walls, assuming from the artist homeowner, were wonderful, and I wish I could have her commission me a piece! The kitchen was huge with lots of sticky drawers. The bed in the master was very comfortable. The downstairs room that is advertised as a kids’ room was not safe to stay. I had to make the beds with the folded sheets that were left for us on two unmade mattresses. After all that work, the mattress on the top bunk fell through when my 55lb son sat on it (seemingly because it needs more slats or a bunkie board). We tried to use the downstairs couch but the mattress was filled with stains and rust. The downstairs back door was locked by a screwdriver where the deadbolt should be. Many outlets were exposed without covers. That room should simply just not advertised as a bedroom. We brought our boat with us as the listing advertised that it was boat friendly with a dock. The water was never deep enough to bring our boat to the dock. Being that we went in the fall, the tides likely are never high enough for a boat to tie up at the pier and this was certainly false advertisement. The home really was lovely but the price did not fit the product. The area is fantastic as well.
