THE OTTO, eponymously named, inspired, and much like the marvelous man himself, is a lovely and uniquely mysterious ski in / ski out lodge located on Okemo Mountain in Vermont. is light, spacious, yet warm and cozy with a wood burning fireplace, large dining room and living area, resplendent with a well stocked cocktail bar for the apres skiers. The best feature, however, of THE OTTO is its stunning location, adjacent to the Kettlebrook ski trail. You walk out the front door and ski down the mountain to the chairlift. No shuttle, no driving, no parking hassles, no schlepping your gear from the lot. THE OTTO offers a wonderful ski vacation, free from anxiety and effort and one full of joy, comfort, happiness and white powdered love. The Otto, like its sister property, The Okemo Love Lounge is a home made with an abundance of joy , playfulness. and not surprisingly, love. A great deal of thought, attention and care has gone into the details, making it comfortable and the perfect retro chic winter escape Conveniently nestled in the woods next to The Kettlebrook ski trail, The Otto is peaceful and serene, a romantic lovenest for couples, spacious and fun for families and perfectly located for everyone to unwind and relax after a wonderful day on the slopes.

Other Things To Note
For special holiday periods such as Xmas, NYE , MLK & Presidents Weekend Memorial and Labor Day Weekends, and Thanksgiving a 3 or 4 night minimum booking requirement is in effect.

Upon booking confirmation the guest will be asked to supply both their email and home address in order for a short term guest/host agreement to be completed and emailed to them.

This agreement is a simple form which covers all the basics just to ensure everyone is on the same page and there's no confusion regarding the dates, times, and house rules

Perfect ski weekend

We cannot say enough good things about the Otto. The condo is very comfortable, well appointed, and spacious. The location is beyond ideal. You walk 10 steps and are on the trails. Our kids slept on the sleeper sofa and we slept in the bedroom. It was a great size for us and we look forward to returning.

We have been happily together for 16 years and hosting for over 13 of them, having come from film, television, fashion, advertising and the restaurant industries. My loves include; ocean swimming, skiing, cooking, playing records, my wife, and hiking with our dog Cowboy Mars. I am prone to bouts of tremendous stupidity but thanks to my kind, loving, and generous mother, I have a good heart which serves me and hopefully others well.

Why they chose this property

Okemo is a very special place. We discovered it during the pandemic, having been in Brooklyn and Manhattan for over 20 years. Nothing beats waking up, making a nice latte then putting your boots on and skiing down to the lift. It has turned me into a ski bum . The obvious aside, the people are really nice. Vermonters are lovely.

What makes this property unique

The Otto is uniquely distinct insofar as it is discreetly secluded, quiet and private, whilst being only steps from the ski trail. Nestled in the woods with glorious morning views , you feel a million miles away when the reality is the resort is at your doorstep. Location aside, there is a popular saying in Australia that goes, “Beauty is in the eye of the beer holder!” When viewed through the inebriated lens of interior design perspective, The Otto has more personality than People magazine and while he may not be the Worlds most sexiest man alive, he sure as heck does have a nice, cute, and dare might I say, deliciously pretty butt!!
