The check-in was a little clunky because there are a lot of rentals and other things going on in that building, and I didn't fully understand the process, which involved a security desk that doesn't have your name. Security just refers you to the hosts office - the name of which is given to you in either the booking, or in host communications. Anyway, once we found the right office, everything went smoothly, we were early, and the room was ready, so were able to get on with our day. I will mention that the room is somekind of conversion of a larger space and the bathroom is a little small, and stays humid after a shower. Also only a couple of the provided towels were absorbative, the rest were cheap and got soaked quickly. The elevator gets crowded fast, and it may be faster to take the stairs down. There were a couple 95 degree days, and the window AC unit was struggling to keep the 2 of us cool, but we were never hot. Location was great, with several restaurants, coffee shops, subways, and shopping within a 10 minute walk, and I was really glad to not have to stay in Times Square. The area seemed safe.

Communication is awful. Don’t expect check in or check out instructions like most VRBO stays. It says AC but know that it is a whole building heat/cool process. So if you are traveling on shoulder season when then temps vary, you will be uncomfortable. Other than that, place does to job. Sufficient room, centrally located. There are some tweaks they could make to improve the overall experience, but nothing major to be concerned about. Stayed with my spouse and two teens, and the space worked out fine.
