Like a home away from home!

This house in Stockton Springs was perfect and everything we were looking for in a place to stay in Maine! It was very clean and beautifully decorated, with ample space for our family. We enjoyed the outdoor space and large porch. We loved the convenience of being close to local places like the Penobscot Bridge, Fort Point and Sandy Point Beach, as well as easy drives to Bangor and Bar Harbor. It was like a home away from home and we hope to visit again in the future!

Quaint and Comfortable Home

This was the perfect place to relax and take in the sites of Maine. We enjoyed the people in this small town. Our facirite experience was the lobster tour we took with Travis from BugginMe Boat Tiurs. This is a mist! The home was well cared for, clean, and had everything we needed. Thank you for such a great experience.

Beautiful home with thoughtful details

We loved our stay at this absolutely charming home. It was so pretty and had lots of thoughtful details and supplies and a well-stocked kitchen. We really appreciated not having to buy all new condiments and spices in order to cook a few meals! I think the comfortable sitting room, surrounded by windows, is one of my favorite rooms ever. The beautiful master bedroom is open to the living area below, worked well for our family of 4 but something to keep in mind if people are on really different schedules. There was plenty of space for everyone, and the well-designed basement was the perfect spot for our 3 nephews to spend a night (we enjoyed the outdoor shower off its patio, too!). It was great to be close to a family wedding at French's Point and to also travel to Acadia within an hour and other beautiful small Maine towns in 30 minutes. The property is very peaceful and we liked being able to walk in 10 minutes at the end of the day to the little beach. Hard to imagine a better spot to spend a week in Maine! We'd definitely come back.

Absolutely the best

100% wonderful- the house was perfect. The 5 of us retired ladies each had their own comfortable bed, beautiful furnishings perfect location. All the little “extras” cut flowers, Mum plant & many pantry things. You hardly need to buy a thing. Thank you so much Joe & Angela for sharing your home with us.

Best vacation rental!

My family and I rented this property to celebrate my daughter's graduation from UMAINE in Orono. The house exceeded our expectations. The house was clean, organized and beautifully furnished and decorated. I'm guessing by the decor and furnishings, they are influenced by Joanna and Chip Gaines! Very well appointed. The neighbors are very friendly as well. For us, the house was perfectly located. Just 40 minutes from the college, 10 minutes from Fort Knox and the closest grocery store. Bar Harbor and Acadia was less than an hour away. I highly recommend this home for your next vacation rental!

My family and I stayed at Cousin's property and loved it. Everything we could of needed was there, (and more). Plenty of room for a large family or a get away with friends. We stayed in October so it was too cool to enjoy the beach near by. We did enjoy riding around the area and having lobster one evening. If you enjoy the coast, you will enjoy this area.

We can't say enough nice things about the Sandy Point house. The outside is beautifully kept. There's a horseshoe game and informal but pretty landscaping. Inside, everything was immaculate when we arrived. Instructions about the house and what we needed to know was right there and very clear.. The kitchen had everything and was also immaculate. Dishes, pots and pans, silverware like new. Sleeping arrangements were perfect for our family - my husband and I and our 3 college kids. There's a lot of space for everyone to spread out when we needed our own space,but there's a wonderful communal space for good family time. There are lots of books and games. The master bed and sheets were super soft and comfy. It was never terribly hot but the overhead fans were lovely. Downstairs washer and dryer worked perfectly. The house is not on the beach, but just a short walk to Sandy Point. We didn't see anyone swimming there and it's not soft sand. But we had some nice long beach walks. We spent a lot of time in Acadia National Park. It was a bit farther to get there than we'd anticipated, so if you're planning to spend most of your time hiking or being in the park, this may not be your spot. The owners were super responsive anytime we had a question - there were one or two minor things which were quickly and easily resolved. But the owners couldn't have been nicer. It was an outstanding experience all around.

Beautifully decorated, well stocked, super clean, near Bucksport and the beautiful Penobscot Bridge.

We came for a wedding at French's Point and thoroughly enjoyed being able to walk the beach to the venue to visit other guests staying there. We had 7 adults that included the 95 year old Grandmother of the Bride. The accommodations were perfect for our family. We do have other relatives in Maine that we enjoy visiting and we were so happy to see one more beautiful, picturesque spot in that lovely state! Thanks to the owners and caretakers for sharing their lovely home!

Sandy Point Home was a terrific place to stay for the weekend. Comfortably fit 7 people, all amenities in the house were clean and updated, the back porch was beautiful, great location tucked away from the road and the owners kindly left a list of recommendations for the area. Beautiful house! Would definitely stay here again if we were back in the area.

Fantastic location and great for young kids

Stayed here for a wedding at French’s point with our 3 kids 3 and under and my brother and his wife and their daughter. House was great only a mile from French’s point and the house had toys for young kids and a baby gate. They were very generous with letting us eat food in the pantry and condiments in the fridge. Great stay for first time to Maine!

Fantastic

This home is by far one of the most beautiful homes we've ever stayed in. It is not only extremely comfortable but absolutely immaculate. It has everything you need and is the perfect vacation rental. Nestled in a quiet little neighborhood, the only sounds we heard were chirping birds and a slow moving train once in the early evening. Arcadia National Park, several quaint towns and a very interesting Ft. Knox State Historical Park are all a short drive from Sandy Point. Be sure to check out Anglers Restaurant in Searsport for some delicious seafood and great service. We highly recommend this home if you're planning a visit to the area. It's one you'll find hard to leave! Thanks Angela and Joe!

Good option for weddings at French's Point

A group of us (7 people) rented this house last weekend when we were in town for a wedding at French's Point. The venue is about a mile away from this house, so it's fairly convenient and we actually ended up walking back from the wedding reception. The house itself is very well laid-out, with plenty of room for a large group to relax in the living room and eat at the table. The deck is lovely and peaceful, and the house itself is very cute and welcoming. A very good option for wedding guests who are looking for accommodations in the Sandy Point/Stockton Springs/Belfast area!

Cute and cozy with good space

We enjoyed our time in this home. Had all that we could need from the kitchen to linens to sleeping arrangements. It was just our family of six and there was plenty of space for us to spread out. The finishing touches of this home make you feel like you're pampered. While it was about 45 min to an hour from Acadia where we traveled to the most, the ride was easy and the traffic was minimal. The small town of Bucksport was also fun and only about 15 min away. We enjoyed the deck and even the train. We would definitely stay here again.
