A Dream Wedding Retreat on the Kenai River – Unforgettable Stay!

The River House was truly a dream come true and the perfect setting for our intimate wedding on the deck overlooking the stunning Kenai River. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this home was something special. The host went above and beyond to make it feel warm, welcoming, and well-prepared for anything we might need. Thoughtful touches were everywhere—everything from toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, and first aid kits to snacks, Keurig coffee machines, and bottled water in every cabin.Inside, the house features oversized picture windows that frame breathtaking views of the river. Whether sitting inside or relaxing on the deck, we constantly spotted moose, bald eagles, seagulls, loons, and ducks. The river itself is a stunning shade of clear greenish-blue—a view you never tire of.For entertainment and comfort, the host had it all covered: card games, puzzles, toys for the kids, outdoor gear, and a great selection of books. We had 11 adults and 3 children, and there were still extra beds—plenty of space to spread out and feel cozy without ever feeling crowded. Some of our favorite memories include roasting marshmallows under the gazebo, grilling for the family on the patio, and soaking in the peacefulness of the deck surrounded by nature. The River House is perfectly tucked away for privacy and serenity, yet close enough to explore the area with ease. This property is not only beautiful but also thoughtfully curated. It exceeded every expectation!

My husband and I are both lifelong Alaskan’s. We homeschool our six children and love the outdoors and all that Alaska has to offer. Our dream of owning our own piece of property on the Kenai River became a reality in the fall of 2024. We look forward to generations of memories and being able to share this blessing with our family and friends.

Why they chose this property

The house is on a private and quiet street. There is plenty of parking for family and friends. The huge deck and gazebo are perfect for connecting and enjoying the breathtaking views of the Kenai River.

What makes this property unique

This house is charming with an open floor plan and has plenty of room for a big family or group with private cabins for couples.
