This is a fantastic house, really an experience in its own. Obviously it’s built into the hill on the river but when you’re there it’s crazy! When on the porch, you are at eye level with birds flying through. We saw bald eagles, herons, hawks, lots of bats every night. You are really tucked into the woods so you’ll also see tons of spiders- they live all over the railings and on siding. If you’re not a fan, beware. But that’s what you get in the woods! The house is typical of a house in the woods too, some imperfections/smells, nothing terrible though. It’s very comfortable. The road in was terrifying at first, but realized we took the wrong way so make sure you take Brandy way up the mountain and not Little Pigeon Way! There’s a steep hill that made me think we’d never get out. Brandy Way is also a big steep hill but it’s manageable. There’s only one other house past this on that road so it’s unlikely you’ll run into traffic but it is a one lane(two way) road. You have to be a pretty confident driver too, because you turn around past the house then come back and back into a tight parking spot. I wouldn’t try to fit more than one car. Every day we went out into town and had fun then would come back and swim in the river and jump in hot tub. It was awesome to be so close to nature. Oh and the pictures must be a little outdated because there are twin beds with trundles in loft so we were pleasantly surprised to have ample sleeping! Overall it was just wonderful! Thank you!
