Relax on two decks: a large main deck and a private one off the master suite.

Perfectly located near Eldora Ski Area, Roosevelt National Forest, Indian Peaks Wilderness, and Rocky Mountain National Park, it's the ideal base for adventure or relaxation.

Nice stay in Nederland

We had a great getaway in the mountains at this property. The location was perfect with being close to town (but not in town) and an easy drive to amazing cross-country skiing at Eldora Resort. Loved the big windows and the master suite upstairs was fabulous.

The property has lovely views of mountains & trees. Rooms very comfortable; kitchen well stocked. Also very close to town. Five of us slept there, but 8 more family members came to celebrate birthdays one afternoon. It was very comfortable even with that many people.It had snowed several inches shortly before we arrived and the long driveway to the front door was too steep so we parked up on the road. We would definitely stay there again.

I live downstairs in the basement apartment and am a volunteer firefighter, so will either be a flight of stairs away or working shifts at the Nederland fire station 5 minutes away so am available via messages or phone call in an emergency.

I have a limited collection of outdoor gear that I am happy to lend and provide advice on places to go/see in the area. Over the decade that I have lived here, I've learned of some of the nice spots in the area and would love to use this as an excuse to share familiarity of the region.

Why they chose this property

Nederland, it's people and location, is where I dreamed of living when I first moved to Colorado years ago.

A mix of culture (outdoors, music and dining), the convenience of living in town and a HUGE dose of natural beauty make this space a dream space for a stay in the Rocky Mountains.

Roosevelt National Forest is a few hundred feet away and the Indian Peaks Wilderness Area is a short drive away.

Eldora Aki Resort is an 11 minute drive (parking can be more of a challenge during busy season).

What makes this property unique

The floor to ceiling south facing windows give you an expansive view of the Caribou valley that leads from Nederland up to the ghost town of Caribou. From there snow shoer, hikers and cross-country skiers explore the beauty of the Indian Peaks Wilderness Area.

Closer to home, the popular Boulder County Open Space parks of Caribou Ranch and Mud Lake (shhhhh, it's way prettier than that sounds) are great places to partake in similar outdoor experiences year round.

The woods surrounding this area are part of Roosevelt National Forest and the house is an 11 minute drive to Eldora Ski Resort and an hour from the Estes Park entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park,
