In the winter, hit the slopes at Vail, Beaver Creek, Copper Mountain, Breckenridge or Ski Cooper—all just a short drive away. After a day of adventure, warm up by the fireplace and relax in this inviting mountain hideaway. All the local shops, bars and restaurants are only a few minutes walking.

During the summer, explore stunning hiking and biking trails near Twin Lakes and continue on to Aspen via Independence Pass, or take in the beauty of nearby Turquoise Lake. Whether you’re summiting a 14er, fly fishing in pristine rivers, or simply strolling through Leadville’s historic downtown, there’s something for everyone.

Fantastic stay!

We had a fantastic stay in Leadville! The house was spotless and beautifully maintained, making it feel like a true home away from home. We loved being able to walk to all the great restaurants and shops right in town — no need to drive once we arrived! It was the perfect balance: we had our car to explore nearby areas like Beaver Creek for a day, but it was so relaxing to return and enjoy everything Leadville has to offer just steps from our door. We can’t wait to come back!

Perfect mountain get away!!!

The house was beautiful and so comfortable! The views were absolutely stunning, and we loved how easy it was to walk to nearby shops and trails. The house was stocked with everything we needed which made cooking in so easy. Madison was an incredible host, super reachable, and gave us the best recommendations, including a gorgeous hike only a few minutes away. We can’t wait to come back!!!

Moose’s Mountain Retreat is just that, the cutest and coziest retreat in Leadville and just steps from all the shops and restaurants. The rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable, fun decor and a great all around vibe. It’s the perfect place to end a day of hiking, biking or whatever else brought you to the mountains. Madison, the host, is very responsive and so kind. She really created an amazing and welcoming space. We will definitely be back!

Awesome place to stay in Leadville! Walking distance from all the shops and gorgeous views. If you have dogs this place if very pet friendly as well with waterproof dog blankets and a backyard.
