What a wonderful little cottage! Perfect for our stay in Bardstown during KBF, plenty of room for just 2 guys. Close enough to walk to downtown and the KBF grounds. Had everything we needed.
Had a great time at Bourbon Oak. Good location, close to everything. We even walked into downtown so we could see all the old houses closer up. Super cute house especially if you appreciate old buildings. The bed was very comfortable which can be a rarity even in hotels. My husband and I had a great time, very relaxing! I also love that they had a gas stove.
Cute historic property. Feels private even though it’s close to everything. We were able to walk into downtown. The yard was great for our dog. We will definitely rent this place again in the future and would highly recommend.
We had a lovely stay - the place was just as described and it was very convenient. Should our travels bring us back to the area, we would choose to stay here again.
This quaint cottage is full of character in every space. It's only a short walk from the town square and the museums. The yard and outdoor areas are nicely kept and lovely to sit at in the evenings. The host was attentive and friendly with very clear explanations. A wonderful place and host. Highly recommend.
Great location. We were able to walk to town. The cottage was clean and very comfortable. Host was great. Highly recommend staying here when visiting Bardstown!!
We truly enjoyed our stay and loved the place. If we ever decide to visit again I would definitely recommend. Looking forward to visiting Bardstown again in the future. Thanks for a great stay and wonderful time.
Right next to the heart of Bardstown with shops, bars, and restaurants. Close to many distilleries. Easy commute to Churchill Downs, especially with parking and taking shuttle from Kentucky Expo.
We had a great stay at the Bourbon Oak Smokehouse. Robert and family were quick to communicate, both with guidance about the house and about things to do and places to go in Bardstown. The house was neat and clean, and while there are imperfections, they simply add to the charm of a historic home. The house is within a short drive (though it can definitely be walked) to downtown Bardstown with all its shops, bars, and restaurants. It sits just far enough from the main street to be private and close enough to get you where you want to go in good time. The on-site parking was definite plus. Check-in and check-out was a breeze, and the host provides excellent, detailed written directions to everything. Two things: (1) The shower is phenomenal. Loved it! (2) The downstairs floors are marble. Regardless of the thermostat setting, you may want to take some house shoes to keep your feet warm!Overall, we loved Bardstown, and we loved staying at the Bourbon Oak Smokehouse. Robert and his family have done it right!
