This cottage is exceptional; it is very clean, refurbished and comfortable including new kitchen appliances and personal touches in every room; just right for a small family, 2-3 couples or friends' getaway. Back deck and firepit include everything needed for outdoor meals and entertaining. An easy 10-minute walk to downtown Southern Pines... hope to return next time in the area!

This was by far one of the best VRBO we’ve stayed. This home has charm and is immaculate. We had a crawling baby and I had no hesitation letting him play on the floors. I felt that the host was simply in this to make money. The host had little thought for the feelings/welfare of the guest.

Thank you for your feedback. I’m truly sorry to hear that you felt this way during your stay — that’s never the experience I want for any of our guests. Regarding the temperature issue, I believe there may have been some confusion with the Nest thermostat. We'd had several warm days before your arrival, and the system was set to cool. We switched the system to heat mode on our end as soon as you notified us, so all that was needed in the home was setting the desired temperature. Nest thermostats can be a little unfamiliar if you haven’t used one before, and I’m sorry if that caused any frustration. I always want guests to feel comfortable and supported, so I appreciate you sharing this. Your comments help me improve, and I truly value your perspective. Best regards, Sheila

A well-kept secret for now

Have been staying in motels, condos, villas and houses for over 30 years during annual golf trips; this is one of the best we've stayed at, this property checked all of our boxes and more. Very homey and comfortable, we definitely will be back.... lots of attention to detail and within a 10-minute walk to downtown Southern Pines.... my wife and I decided that we could live here....
