Our rustic, Brookside cabin with its old-world charm, consists of 2 bedrooms. The master bedroom with wonderful Adirondack décor and king size bed is adjacent to a huge master bathroom , cathedral ceilings , sunken tub overlooking the brook , free standing shower , antique trimmings . Also adjacent to master bedroom is a charming library with views of colorful flowers in spring/summer and Christmas trees in winter . A pull out couch that sleeps 2 . The second bedroom consists of 2 queen size beds. Adjacent to this is another bathroom completely renovated with high ceilings, large shower and antique trimmings. Complete kitchen with vaulted pine ceilings,*Just renovated ..sub zero refrigeration under counter.. quartz counter top ..state of the art appliances with beautiful views of the brook ** The third bathroom sits adjacent to the kitchen with full bath amenities. The washer and dryer is also adjacent to the kitchen wrap around large windows with virws of the brook .Dining room offers a full view of the brook through wall to wall windows, cathedral ceilings with pine and bark and a 12 foot long antique table to enjoy your Brookside dinning. The Great Room is a charming, cozy, romantic and relaxing place with a large stone fireplace, velvet couch, Indian blankets and comfortable chairs. Huge deck facing Whiteface Mountain and Lake Placid is partially screened in and a cozy place to sit allowing you to enjoy sounds of the babbling brook and scenic views in any weather.
Brookside is located in the Whiteface club resort area . Simply beautiful any time of the year ! Spring/ Summer an abundance of flowers . This is the most charming, cozy, well equipped home. This was our 3rd time staying at Brookside. We keep coming back because of this. The host is so welcoming and will get right on any detail that may seem off. It's proximity to all the venues one might want to do in Lake Placid is perfect.

We had a great stay at the Brookside Cabin this past weekend. The cabin was beautiful and made for a perfectly wintry getaway, especially with the fireplace keeping that cozy winter vibe. Everything was very clean, and the entire complex was quiet, well maintained, and relaxing. The location was ideal, close to Main Street in Lake Placid. Check in was super smooth and easy. If you’re considering a trip to Lake Placid, I would definitely recommend staying at Brookside Cabin.

There are not enough words to explain how wonderful this experience was- but my 11 year old summed it up by day 2 on our stay and said "mom, it feels like home". This is our 3rd stay at Brookside and it won't be our last! Spotless always, lighting in each room is adjustable and lots of them - heat in all rooms adjustable, kitchen has everything you need. Fireplace burns wood and there is plenty of it! Soaking tub in master bath with a view of the brook. TV in both bedrooms. Library with chairs and blankets perfect for reading or napping! Washer dryer too-so we packed a bit lighter this time :) Good memories were made!

Our Thanksgiving stay at Cheryl’s beautiful Brookside Cabin was absolutely wonderful. The cozy vibe and peaceful setting was exactly what we were hoping for. Although her place looks lovely in the pictures, they do not do it justice. It’s even more lovely in person! It’s very clean, well appointed and well stocked. We hope to visit again!

This cabin was a very short walk to a beautiful lake and just a few minutes drive from all that downtown Lake Placid has to offer. We loved the spacious rooms and aesthetics; everything was beautiful and well appointed. Nothing better than a cozy fire in the evening followed by a bubble bath in the large tub. Plenty of space for four, and we enjoyed how quickly we could get to all the hiking spots in and around Lake Placid. Would definitely stay here again, and give this place two big thumbs up.

What a great trip we had in Lake Placid. The house was great and the location was beautiful. Very close to the lake with a nice front deck and covered porch at the front as well. It was also just a few minutes from town and stores. Very short walk to a marina for boat tours and kayaking and small swimming area at the lake. HIGHLY recommend!

Beautiful house! Just as pictured, spacious and bright, we really enjoyed our stay. The kitchen is perfect, large enough and well stocked for cooking meals or perfect just for quick coffee and breakfast. Very close to several grocery/specialty food stores. Great location in Lake Placid region for all the outdoor activities, and close to the town of Lake Placid for restaurants and shopping. We had dinner one night at the Moose Lodge Boat House, super convenient 2-minute walk, spectacular view of the lake and mountains.

We absolutely loved everything about this cottage! Perfectly located, it was just far enough from the village to feel tucked away and private, but close enough to drive 10 minutes to town for dining and shopping. The cottage itself was very clean and tidy, and thoughtfully decorated with luxuriously rustic touches. It was also surrounded by beautiful scenery to admire beyond every windowpane, making our stay extremely comfortable and relaxing. With just three of us staying, we had plenty of room to spread out, but the cottage would be able to accommodate up to 6 people easily, if you don't mind bunking together. We also absolutely loved the wood burning fireplace, stocked with plenty of seasoned firewood for our cozy evenings in. The cottage is also very well managed. Because we came during a very cold and icy streak, there was quite a bit of ice leading up to the front door. We contacted the management company as soon as we arrived and they sent someone out straight away to take care of de-icing the stairs and porch leading up to the front door. We would definitely love to stay again and/or recommend to our family and friends!

I am a resident and native of Staten Island, NY. I am 3rd generation in a family business that was started by my grandfather in 1929 after he immigrated to the US. Back in those days he created every block by hand. We currently specialize in mason and building materials. I have been renting Brookside for 25 years and have done many improvements over the years. My tenants are extremely pleased and I have many returning renters. I take pride in giving each tenant complete attention and strive to help them have the best vacation possible.

Why they chose this property

I’d like to tell you about my first experience as a potential buyer of Brookside. I arrived during the night and settled into the cozy cabin with no knowledge of the spectacular impressions I would receive the next morning. I awoke to the beautiful sounds of the babbling brook, which I hadn’t heard when I first arrived. I then went outside to the gorgeous wrap around deck I looked at the beautiful Whiteface Mountain and the picturesque Lake Placid while drinking my morning coffee. As I relaxed next to a warm fire I immediately fell in love. Following my lovely morning I explored the area and saw nature at its best. Just 5 minutes away I enjoyed the cozy village of Lake Placid where I antiqued, shopped at boutiques, dined on the lake and enjoyed a fifty cent popcorn at the historic cinema. I decided then and there this was the place and the property for me.
