Our family had a wonderful 3 day stay in Lake Placid. Accommodations were perfect, just as described - “family friendly, cozy.” Home was spotless, the decor added warmth to the home and the kitchen was equipped with everything needed to prepare a hearty breakfast and an amazing dinner. The owner is absolutely amazing to work with. The house is very clean and the location is perfect. Very quite at night and peaceful. We stayed with our family so 3 couples and the space was perfect for all of us to enjoy and have our own area for privacy. You won't regret staying here. I look forward to staying in the future.

The house was amazing. The Great Room was great with a wonderful fireplace that created such as warm and cozy space. The rooms were spacious and cozy. The kitchen was great, plenty of counter space and all to the kitchen gadgets and tools you'll need. Colleen and Mark were fabulous hosts and communicated with us. We had to make a change to our plans and move the reservation by one week; they accommodated us and helped make everything perfect.

The Rustic Retreat matched everything listed in VRBO. The kitchen was well equipped. Owner made sure you had everything available. Communication with owner was excellent. Beds are very comfortable and the home is extremely clean and well appointed. What you would expect if a mountain home. Everything you need for a great stay in Lake Placid. Home is a great location too. Very close to all the main attractions and town. We had a wonderful time. We will definitely stay again next time we head to Lake Placid.

This townhouse is beautiful and comfortable. We’ve stayed at a lot of places, and Colleen and Mark thought of things that other hosts didn’t, like Tupperware for leftovers! Colleen was very communicative and a pleasure to deal with. We’d definitely stay here again.

Great hosts with and exceptional condo! Perfect place for two parents and two teens to spread out and have their own space/bathrooms. Basement family room is made for cozy movie nights. Better signage is needed, initially went to wrong unit.Simple things in life, like 2 ply toilet paper.The ice machine was in the "off" position.A "grab bar" for master bedroom shower would be beneficial.Adding A/C units would be great, day time temperature was 80*.

Regarding signage, we did email you a one-page document containing detailed directions to the unit because we recognize that GPS isn’t always correct. Additionally, we included a photograph of a satellite map that marked our building with a red pin. We hoped that would be clear enough. A “grab bar” for the master bathroom is a good suggestion, something we plan to look into. Thank you again for staying with us.

The place was more than clean - immaculate! The kitchen was very well supplied - everything you could need and then some. Location was great - very quiet and close to great hiking trails and Lake Placid Main street for restaurants and shopping. We only had three people, so had plenty of room to stretch out. Peaceful spot

We had a wonderful time staying here. The location was close to town but just far enough for some peace and quiet. Loved the screened in porch and listening to the birds. Very well stocked all around and Colleen was super accommodating to all our needs.
