About this property
Cabot Trail Seaside Cabin The Nook
About this space
The Nook is the smallest of the 3 wilderness cabins that are on the property, all nestled among a network of trails through the forest and down to the waterfront.
The cabins sleep two people, with a personal fire pit, bbq, kitchenette, drinking water (although no running water), and all the amenities needed to spend a few nights in nature.
The shared outdoor bathroom has been hand crafted with lots of natural light, a composting toilet (i.e. non-flushing), hot water shower and two sinks.
The space
Enjoy the beauty of both the forest and the ocean on this 4 acre property off the Cabot Trail. The space is perfect for those who love nature and rustic vibes. Think glamping - but not luxury geodome glamping.
The whole property is essentially on a hill. Parking is near the top, followed by the cabins, the shared bathrooms, the main cottage, and then the waterfront is a few minutes further down. The paths are not suitable for people with mobility issues and potentially seniors.
There is a path down to a look off, where you can enjoy incredible views of the sunset overlooking the bay. Be prepared to get that heart rate up on the walk back to the cottage!
From the look-off there is a narrow rocky trail that brings you right down to the water with two kayaks. Guests can paddle at their own risk but it is only advisable when the water is calm which is usually early in the morning.
Guest access
You have private access to your cabin.
You share the outdoor bathroom with up to 4 guests from the other cabins.
All guests (up to 10 other) have access to the trails, hammock area, and the waterfront.
Other things to note
The location is ideal for kickstarting your Cabot Trail journey! Drive the full Cabot Trail during your stay or check out the nearby activities:
- explore waterfalls (Uisge Bàn Falls 30 mins)
- enjoy waterfront restaurants or attend a ceilidh in Baddeck (15 mins away)
- take a puffin boat tour (5 mins away)
- grab an ice cream or seafood dinner at the Lobster Galley Restaurant (3 mins away)
- relax on your deck or enjoy the sunsets with an ice cold drink (0 mins away)
