We had some issues (leaky toilet, too few towels, and broken tv) and the host could not resolve all of them during our stay but he was communicative and tried. He refunded some of our payment when everything couldn’t be resolved. They provided more towels our first day and plumber came on our third day.One of the three beds sags a lot. But the other two are fine. It is a basement apartment with no natural light, but the location is excellent. You can walk to Chinatown and Old town easily and the metro is nearby. There is not really parking unless you are lucky enough to get one of the two spots in front of the building. The parking lot at the end of the street is convenient and was 25 per day; not bad for a city.
The apartment fit our needs perfectly, in the center of Montreal, walking distance to many of the sites and restaurants. The furnishings and beds were quite comfortable.
The location of the apartment made it so convenient to visit Montreal on foot. It was only a half block from a secure parking area, so we never worried about leaving 2 cars on street level. Very close to the Metro stop, Old Montreal, and restaurants and shops. For six people, the apartment felt a little small. The couch is only 5 feet long, so it was not an optional sleeping surface. The mattresses may be ready for an upgrade. But in general, the apartment was very nice, clean, and quiet, and the appliances all worked well. Communication with the owner was very easy. We enjoyed our stay.

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Cleanliness
The location is excellent, which is the property's main redeeming quality; however, the overall experience was disappointing. The property is in need of significant cleaning and maintenance. The main entrance appears not to have been cleaned in quite some time, with noticeable dirt on the floors and floor mats pushed against the walls, creating a poor first impression. There is also a persistent musty odor that extends into the downstairs suite. Several rugs and an older couch may be contributing to the smell. The courtyard shown in the photos was unfortunately unusable during our stay, as it appeared to be used as a garbage collection area for surrounding apartments. Even after garbage collection day, trash remained piled up, making the space unpleasant. On a positive note, the bedding and towels were clean, and the kitchen was adequately equipped. However, we felt uncomfortable enough in the suite that we chose to eat out every evening. The Wi‑Fi connection was consistently unstable and often unusable due to network congestion. Because the televisions rely on Wi‑Fi, streaming quality was poor, with frequent buffering, pixelation, and interruptions. When returning to Montreal in the future my family will gladly walk a few more blocks for nicer accommodations.
The beds were comfortable, excellent location, AC was great, washer and dryer in unit was nice to have. The communication was great. The access with codes was easy. The parking was a bit of a pain with the spots in front being taken. Parking down the street was 25 a day. The bathroom was really tiny. The stairs going down into the apartment should have a railing as my mother in law fell twice trying to go down them.
