Guadalupe River Ranch - Huge waterfront house with private pool on 63 acres.



When you first arrive to High Bank Ranch you will immediately see why we are the destination for family get-togethers and Guadalupe river fun. The 2 house complex is laid out to capture outdoor activities along with the ability to sleep 22 people in comfy beds. You can begin your day with poolside coffee highlighted by the sound of waterfalls and a cool breeze. When the you are ready for more activity there is volleyball/badminton/ping pong/ yard games, kayaks, and pool. The day only gets better in the first class outdoor kitchen built in 2016 (gas grill, electric oven/stove, cocktail bar sink, fully stocked cookware and utensils, fridge, wine fridge and deep freezer), the aroma from the Pizza Oven, and the 70 in. TV in the outdoor living space will keep your guests happy. Plenty of room for our guests to spread out, large driveway, and privacy galore on 63 acres. An added bonus is a full hookup for RV and barn/pasture if you would like to bring your horses, trail riding, hiking and biking.

Our property is situated on the Guadalupe River (Lake McQueeney section). The river here is not in the busy section so water floats are available for your use and we have 4 kayaks. Bring your fishing poles for Catfish and Bass. The 2 house complex includes 8 bedrooms (5 in main house & 3 in pool house), 5 full bathrooms (3 in main house & 2 in pool house), 1 outdoor shower, 2 hot tubs (1 in main house & 1 poolside), all linens/towels and cookware needed for your stay, Wi-Fi in both buildings and outside kitchen, 2 laundry rooms.

The ranch was a perfect layout for our large family gathering! We spent afternoons in the wonderful pool and evenings having dinner in the large outdoor kitchen. The main and pool house were beautiful, well stocked and very clean. I would definitely recommend and we hope to stay again soon!

This property is/has been the BEST place we’ve ever rented! HANDS DOWN!! Number 1 in cleanliness, organized, well stocked, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful… did I mention beautiful!! The heated pool, outdoor pavilion, Pizza oven, outdoor kitchen… I could go on and on!!! Love love this place! Highly recommended! I can’t wait to go back to this most peaceful serene ranch house! We were a group of friends there for a 40 year high school reunion and this was the perfect house for all of us. The pool and the outdoor kitchen were so nice and both the house and pool house were a great fit for us all. Susanne was very responsive so it was really nice to be able to get in touch with her if we had any questions. Definitely would love to stay here again.

This home was delightful! The host went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. When she found out my granddaughter would be joining us, she even left out a pack n play, highchair, and some toys. The one room on the main floor was a complete suite, with separate bedroom, living room, kitchenette, and private bath which was a perfect space for my daughter, son-in-law, and their baby to have privacy for napping, etc. Everything was as described and very clean - the outdoor kitchen was phenomenal and allowed us to cook large meals for everyone - especially with extra fridges for storage. There were plenty of areas to relax and connect. The decks and dock area were also a nice change of pace to just soak up the quiet and nature. All beds were comfortable as well! Thank you for giving our family a comfortable place away from it all where we could reconnect and celebrate not only an 80th birthday, but an engagement AND a new baby joining the family. It was a priceless time for our family.

This was my family's second stay at the Ranch and it's excellence continues. It is a beautiful, secluded location but convenient to access. In addition to the beautiful Ranch house, it has an additional bunkhouse which is excellent for younger members of the family. The bunk room itself is a favorite with the younger members of our family. Susanne, the owner is extremely accommodating, and has been for both our visits. I have never stayed anywhere that was as beautiful or as clean as High Bank Ranch!!!! (I was having such a wonderful time, I forgot to take pictures!)

Wonderful Place for Larger Parties

I have been doing our friends yearly Comal River Float event for 5 years and this was by far the best place for our party of 22. Enough beds, bathrooms, and plenty of food prep areas with 3 refrigerators and a deep freezer to cook for everyone. Highly recommend for a large headcount.

The home was beautiful and in a great location. It easily accommodated our group of 18, with plenty of space and sleeping arrangements for everyone. The pool, house, and restrooms were spotless and well-prepared for our stay. After entering through the ranch gate, there’s a short scenic drive to the property, which we loved—it felt private and secluded with no nearby neighbors. My family has been visiting the Hill Country our whole lives even while living and raising our children in the Houston area. After the kids graduated from high school we wanted to retire in a small town setting that still offered some big city activities close by. Most importantly water and outdoor excursions.

Why they chose this property

We were always drawn to New Braunfels. The people here are honest and friendly. There is always something to do and the climate of the area allows for year around outdoor activities. When the opportunity arose for us to own land in such a beautiful setting we were thrilled. We have put a lot of work and sweat into building our dream ranch.

What makes this property unique

Lake McQueeney is a hidden gem. You can drive into town and float the Guadalupe River in many locations but our section of the river is peaceful and serene. We love being able to put the Kayaks in the water for a leisure ride upstream or just tying a tube to the dock for lazy floating is my happy place.
