Casita de Montano 2 Bdrm Foothills Charmer with Incredible Sandia Mtn Views
Located at the base of the Sandias in a sweet, walkable forested neighborhood, this home offers comfortable spaces to live, work and be in awe of the beauty of nature. The mountains are constantly changing with the light and the clouds; often glowing a reddish gold at the end of the day. Very sigh-worthy.
The Space Amazing views are visible from east facing tall windows in the living room, dining room and primary bedroom. When the light is right, the world's second longest Tram can also be seen. This entire single level home is yours to enjoy including an entry courtyard with seating for your morning coffee. The rear walled patio for evening activities offers privacy and views. Our home is decorated in a warm contemporary style; almost all of our art is by local NM artists.
Hiking/biking trails (La Luz, Elena Gallegos and many more) are nearby. A small park (visible from our backyard) is close enough to walk to. The larger North Domingo Baca park offers Tennis, Playground, Bocce Ball, a Dog park and more. The top of the Tram provides an amazing view of Albuquerque at 10K feet. And, of course, there is seasonal skiing. There is a walking path along the arroyo right outside our gate. Not here for the Balloon Fest? You can still catch a balloon ride with Rainbow Riders. Or stroll in Old Town and check out museums.
We have T-Mobile 5G Wifi and Samsung 50/55" TVs in the LR and Primary Bedroom. The full kitchen (Refrigerator/DW/Stove/Oven) is well equipped and stocked with the basics, including a Keurig Duo and Microwave. Both bedrooms have chargers and walk-in closets. There is also a laundry room with a full size washer/dryer. The garage fits 2 cars (medium sized) accessible with a remote.
CVS Pharmacy and O'Beans Coffee shop are very close on Tramway and Albertson's on Academy is just five minutes south on Tramway. Other major stores including restaurants and services are generally within 10-15 minutes west on Paseo del Norte, Academy or Montgomery. We will provide info at the house on some of the best.
The front door has a keypad deadbolt lock and you will be provided with your own code. We also provide a garage door opener during your stay. We have a camera doorbell; street camera on the front of the garage and a rear camera aimed at the back gate for security. There are 2 fire extinguishers and a first aide kit in case of emergencies.

About the host
Hosted by Chere Hartman
We vacationed in Albuquerque 50 years ago and fell in love with the blue skies, diverse culture and unique architecture. We moved here shortly after. Choosing Nob Hill for our first home to be near UNM, we then built a home on the west side when nothing was over there. For the last 30 years we have lived in the North Valley in an adobe home with beautiful trees that unfortunately obstruct the mountain view. Spending time with our daughter in Taos who had unending mountain vistas, I fell in love and was determined to find a 2nd home with mountains and clouds filling every window possible. It is where we will retire when circumstances permit. In the meantime, it will serve as a guesthouse and staycation getaway. I love the idea of sharing it with guests who like me may be searching for the beauty of nature while still close to all that Albuquerque has to offer.
