Nearby museums offer art, regional history, and hands-on science, making it easy to shape the day around your group’s interests.
A COMFORTABLE BALLOON FIESTA HOME BASE
Convenient access to I-25 helps with trips toward Balloon Fiesta Park. Allow plenty of extra time for event traffic and follow the organizer’s current transportation guidance.

This was a great stay! The host was so accommodating and the communication was as amazing. We had someone who was in a wheelchair and was able to be comfortable in the house, which was appreciated. Our dogs loved the yard and it was fenced in well for them. Will book again!
Property has a nice outdoor space with a huge wisteria. We enjoyed watching the birds cavort in the foliage. Situated in a quiet residential neighborhood in easy walking distance to a nice park, multiple restaurants, and grocery stores.
Five friends from Western Kansas enjoyed a girls trip to Albuquerque, and this house was perfect for us. Plenty of space for all of us, very clean, comfortable beds, and a great outdoor patio where we had morning coffee or evening snacks and wine. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the bathrooms were well stocked with plenty of towels and easily used by everyone. It was in a nice area and we found navigating to many interesting places very doable. We had a great stay and a very fun time exploring the city. We took a wine tour with Vino Vans and had a wonderful afternoon experiencing three wineries. Would highly recommend them for a special time, very interesting history, and being escorted professionally. Thanks for an amazing time in your fun city!
The house was wonderful, family friendly and pet friendly. My dogs loved the backyard. The house was very clean and neighborhood was quiet. Our host was quick to answer the few questions we had. I would definitely recommend this home.
The home had everything we needed from dishes, to dog crates, baby pack & play, coffee maker etc. The yard was perfect for enjoying a relaxing evening in while the kids & pups played or lounged in the backyard. The neighborhood was quiet, neighbors nice and the property was close to the ice rink, not too far from downtown and a variety of stores were nearby.
Our stay in Albuquerque was perfect! The house was very clean, perfectly stocked, and convenient to everything we were doing. Jake’s communications and instruction made everything easy. I would not hesitate to return for another stay. Thanks!!
Wonderful stay! This place was perfect for our needs. Location was ideal. Close to hiking and shopping. Space was clean, cozy and roomy. All essentials were provided and appreciated. The patio was a comfortable spot to sit outside. The dog loved the grass and area to play.
Location was good. Some walkability. Nice dog park nearby. It’s a decent place, especially if you have a pet or larger group.Host/owner needs to trim back the landscaping so that there are not so many mosquitoes.

About the host
Hosted by Jake Aragon
Hi, I’m Jake! I’ve lived in Albuquerque most of my life, and its wide-open spaces, mountain views, and unforgettable sunsets still make me appreciate calling it home. Sharing that experience with guests is one of the things I enjoy most about hosting.
Before becoming a host, I spent 27 years in retail management with a major retailer. That experience taught me to listen, anticipate needs, and pay attention to the details that make people feel welcome. Today, I bring that same care to preparing our homes and helping guests enjoy a comfortable, memorable stay.
My wife and I have been married for over 25 years, and we have two wonderful daughters. We love traveling as a family, whether we’re exploring somewhere new or relaxing by a lake, river, or beach. Our travels continue to shape my approach to hosting: I want to offer the cleanliness, comfort, thoughtful touches, and responsive communication I appreciate when I’m away from home.
I’m happy to share local restaurant favorites, suggest an outdoor adventure, or help with questions during your stay. I respond promptly to calls, texts, and emails while respecting your privacy and giving you space to settle in.
Many of our guests return year after year, and earning that trust means a great deal to me. Whether this is your first visit or a familiar return, I look forward to making you feel welcome in Albuquerque!
Why they chose this property
This was my first vacation rental, and it still holds a special place in my heart. It’s in the same neighborhood where I live and chose to raise my family—a place I know well and genuinely love sharing with guests.
For me, the appeal is the balance of peaceful residential surroundings and everyday convenience. This is one of Albuquerque’s most desirable neighborhoods, with well-kept homes, nearby parks, and easy access to local dining, shopping, and outdoor adventures.
Balloon Fiesta Park is only about five minutes away under normal driving conditions, making this a wonderful home base for the Fiesta. Event traffic requires an earlier start, but the proximity is a real advantage. When flight paths and weather cooperate, you may even see hot-air balloons floating directly over the house—a memorable way to experience Albuquerque!
With I-25 less than a mile away, exploring the city or heading north for a day in Santa Fe is straightforward. Whether you’re here for a special event, a family visit, or a relaxing getaway, this neighborhood offers what I value most: a welcoming place to come home to, close to the experiences that make New Mexico special.
What makes this property unique
What makes this home special is the combination of comfortable gathering spaces, a desirable Northeast Heights setting, and easy access to Albuquerque’s best experiences.
Balloon Fiesta is a particular highlight. With Balloon Fiesta Park nearby, you have a convenient home base for early-morning launches and evening glows. When weather and flight paths cooperate, balloons may drift directly over the house or land nearby—creating unforgettable moments without even leaving the neighborhood.
Inside, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a separate heated and cooled sunroom give your group flexibility. The sunroom features a desk and a twin daybed with a trundle, with privacy shades on its windows and the French doors connecting it to the primary bedroom. A shaded patio with a barbecue grill invites relaxed meals together, while the two-car garage and provided remote make coming and going easy.
Walk to Tin Can Alley for local food and craft beer, or enjoy nearby North Domingo Baca Park. Restaurants, shopping, and everyday essentials are close by, while Sandia Resort & Casino and the Sandia Mountains offer opportunities for golf, spa time, entertainment, hiking, biking, and a memorable tram ride.
With I-25 less than a mile away, you’re also well positioned to explore Albuquerque or plan day trips to Santa Fe, Cochiti Lake, and the Jemez Mountains.
Whether you’re here for business, family time, or adventure, this home offers something I value when traveling: plenty to discover nearby and a welcoming place to return to afterward.
