Lis and Dan were very sweet and welcoming. The amenities were clean and true to the description. You are open to the jungle, in the best way. It was beautiful and we had a wonderful stay.

Stay at El Cerrito

Couldn't overstate how happy I am with my stay. The area is beautiful, the people are warm and hospitable, and the fruit is to write home about.

Good for the Soul

My wife and I had been traveling for weeks. We stopped at this cabin just outside the town of Puerto Jimenez looking for a peaceful change of pace from some hectic and overly commercial hotels. We were delighted to find true Costa Rican hospitality and beautiful scenery that felt like a spiritual awakening. Last month we dealt with "congestion pricing" in NYC, but here it was like an emotional cleansing. We encountered a local couple whose family have been farming the land for generations. They could not have tried harder to make us feel welcomed and satisfied with the locally grown food and the accommodations. We learned a lot about nature, respect for the land, animals and each other. They get their water from their well, electricity from solar power and everything we saw and did seemed simple, clean and satisfying. We will definitely be back to re-energize and participate in a life style so in tune with nature, even if it's for a short interlude.
