The home truly felt like a vacation. The home was immaculate, kitchen well stocked, and details like the super soft wash towels made us feel like we were in a hotel. We also appreciated the very informative guidebook.

This was a lovely home and fit our needs perfect. We loved the view with some trees providing privacy while having a view of the beautiful lake as well. We enjoyed the space the house provided and so enjoyed playing ping pong! We rented a pontoon boat for one day which was awesome and fished quite a bit. Enjoyed the wildlife! We could have definitely stayed longer! Thank you to our host for sharing their lovely home with us...much appreciated. Drifters and Cancun are great places to eat out at. Peaks of Otter has great hiking.

Spring Break Trip

We loved our stay! The house was very cozy and the perfect location to so many fun activities. We also loved hanging out at the dock and using the paddle boards. We ended up renting a jet ski for one day which was super fun. Definitely a great stay!

July 4 Stay

We had a great stay at this home for the week of July 4! The house met all of our needs for a family trip, and the property was much more beautiful than the VRBO photos when the trees are green! The beds were comfortable, the place was nicely laid out, and the kitchen was well stocked with cookware and utensils. The location was much more convenient (to groceries and restaurants) than other rentals we’ve used at SML. We also appreciated the convenient boat trailer parking on site.

We stayed for a long weekend with our adult children and young grandchildren and this home and all the amenities helped make a perfect vacation. The entire property was clean and well maintained. The kitchen is well stocked, making it easy to prepare meals. The beds and furniture are comfortable. We enjoyed lots of time outdoors between swimming and paddling in the lake, playing games and sitting by a bonfire. Host communication was excellent, all my questions were answered quickly. We hope to stay again next year.

We absolutely LOVED Megan’s house, it’s so well equipped & CLEAN. She has also been my favorite host so far for communication. The morning after we checked in, she messaged to see if there was anything further she could do to accommodate us; I was impressed by that. My mom thought the main-floor bed was lumpy/ dipping in the middle, so we did a “bed tour” and everyone agreed the other two beds were mega comfy. (I didn’t feel the lumpiness she was sensing but I also only spent about 60 seconds trying it out). One of the couches in the basement pulls out to make a 4th bed. Head’s up: that mattress is only about 3” tall since it needs to fold up in a tight space. If you add an air mattress (or foam topper) to it, it would be comfortable enough to call the basement a 4th bedroom. Basement does have a 1/2 bath as well as a door at the top of the stairs for privacy. I offered some suggestions to the host on these 2 points and she was super receptive to it (bonus points for being a host who genuinely cares to make it a great experience). Amenities: 1000/100. We never had any need to leave because she had EVERYTHING for us—table tennis, bocce (big hit!), firepit, 2 kayaks, a canoe, 3 paddle boards, life jackets, and I think a giant blue foam jumping mat for the water. There was additional lake stuff in the basement as well as a table tennis table and kan jam stuff. The kitchen was very well stocked, and the “extras” (plastic wrap, foil, etc) are such a huge plus. Truly excellent.

This house is tucked in a little cove and is lovely. The walk down to the dock is an easy one unlike other places we have stayed on the lake. It is very convenient to Food Lion and the Bridgewater Marina. The house is laid out nicely with 2 bedrooms upstairs a bedroom on the main level and downstairs has a ping pong table , TV, seating and a pull out couch. The kitchen is nicely stocked with cookware, dishes and silverware. The fire pit area is very nice and even had some firewood available. Would definitely recommend.
