Big Oak Cabin (Hocking Hills area)

Must be 25 years or older to rent this property. The guest on the reservation must be present at check-in with photo ID which matches address and credit card used. The booking guest must be present during the complete stay.

A rental agreement will need signed upon booking and a Refundable Damage Deposit of $300 will be charged to your credit card 3 days prior to arrival. This deposit will be fully refunded within 3 days after checkout, provided there are no damages or policy violations.

Trip Cancellation & Travel Insurance Program options available for purchase when booking a stay not less than 30 days before check in date.

Two private queen bedrooms & one bath on the main floor, additional sleeping options, futon the living room & a king bed downstairs. Add nearby Bent Tree cabin & Sassafras cabin if you have a larger group. Lots of woods.

Weekend Getaway

This was the perfect two night stay for my husband and I. We took our dog as well. Cabin was clean and equipped with everything we needed. The hosts were very communicative and made the check in process a breeze. We would love to check out other properties they manage, it seems like they have a lot in the area.

I’m new at this and there was no leniency. I tried numerous times to fix the problem between VRBO and the destination, to no avail and then they wouldn’t refund me or reschedule even though I paid insurance. I will try again hopefully with a better outcome.

We’re sorry you were dissatisfied, but we’d like to clarify the circumstances of this reservation for accuracy. This was not an issue with the property, management, or Vrbo. The reservation was made for a third party, and the individual who booked was not planning to stay at the property. Additionally, the payment was made using a credit card that did not belong to the named guest on the reservation. This directly violates our clearly stated house rules, which require: The name on the reservation to match the guest staying at the property The credit card used for payment to belong to that same guest These requirements are outlined in the listing prior to booking, along with our cancellation policy, which was also agreed to at the time of reservation. While we understand this situation was frustrating, the cancellation and outcome were a result of these policy violations rather than any failure on our part. We always encourage guests to review listing details and house rules carefully before booking to avoid misunderstandings. We appreciate the opportunity to clarify this for future guests.
