About this property
Farmhouse Basement Apartment
The Farmhouse Basement Apartment is the perfect location for your home-away-from-home. A private entrance leads you down to this two bedroom, one bathroom apartment that has a lot of windows and natural light. The master bedroom features a king size bed while the spare bedroom has trundle twin size beds, a workspace, and a cozy leather chair. The full kitchen is well stocked with cooking staples as well as a Keurig Duo Coffee Maker, Instant Pot and Air Fryer.
The property is a three acre farm with fenced in pasture and several outbuildings including a chicken coop. The house itself is a 1950's log cabin farmhouse that has been renovated and well cared for over the years. There are goats and occasionally horses in a fenced pasture that love to get attention and treats!
The back deck has lounge chairs around a fire table, outdoor dining area, Traeger and Blackstone grills and a hot tub. There is a 8 foot stock tank pool overlooking the backyard. Use of the deck, hot tub and pool can be arranged ahead of time to ensure privacy!
The laundry room in the apartment is a shared space but every effort is made to respect your privacy.
The unit stays quite cool in the summer, so please bring some warm layers to relax in. There is an electric fireplace, a space heater for each room, and additional blankets.
I have a German Shorthaired Pointer named Laika. She has access outside but not to the apartment. She is very friendly and loves meeting new friends!
At times the chickens are allowed free range of the property. If preferred, they can be contained to their coop during your stay.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

A cute farmhouse, with goats. We had a wonderful time at the Palisade Peach Festival and this farmhouse was perfectly positioned to allow for the Festival, local restaurants, and a calm weekend with family.
A lovely property exactly as described. Very homey, well decorated, and stocked with all the items we needed for our stay. The farm animals were cute and curious about us and our dog. Pretty close to all the various wineries that we wanted to visit in Palisade.
This downstairs apartment was clean and quiet. I have rented many apartments short term over the years and this one was most well stocked by far. Everything worked well.
Lots of outdoor room for dog to move around. Apartment: clean and arranged in a smart cute way. Host easy to reach to ask questions.

If you’re looking for a private and secluded place to stay, this is the place for you! The property is absolutely beautiful! Way out in the country, no neighbors in sight, peaceful and quiet! The cabin is right in the middle of cow fields and so much wildlife around to see! The private pond has some great fishing and was much bigger than I expected from pictures, mainly accessible by the dock. Cabin had that home feel to it and we did enjoy our stay! We stayed a little over a week and even booked a few more days to enjoy family time. Downfalls:Host showed up to property multiple occasions, scheduled maintenance, lawn care and to pick up tables from the house they needed to use. Gave prior notice but would still of liked a bit more privacy. (Personal preference) Personal items all around the house. Bathroom cabinets loaded down with used personal hygiene items some that seemed to be there a long time. One of the selling factors that made us choose this cabin was the outdoor kitchen but the griddle had no propane and looked as if it hadn’t been touched in a long time so we didn’t mess with it. Stove wasn’t plugged in and no plug in sight for it. The grill out there was one of the small portable ones and maybe suitable for a 2 person party. The only option for cooking outside was the fireplace. Was pretty disappointed in that area. Despite the downfalls the host was very friendly. Lots of room to grow though and we still made the best of our week there!
I visited the western slope for a long weekend with my boyfriend and his mom to do a group bike ride in Grand Junction and visit the wineries and peach orchards in Palisade. This house worked great for us and our dogs with a quiet location still a short drive from Grand Junction. It was fun to see the farm animals and easy to let our dogs out in the fenced yard. There were lots of thoughtful touches (like flossers in the bathroom) and a well stocked kitchen. Hanna was very responsive and accommodating with a few minor questions and requests that came up during our stay. I would definitely stay here again!
