Loved the sandy beach and the general area. The house itself has plenty of space for 4 adults and has all the modern touches you need to feel comfortable. Only minor complaint was that the beds and pillows weren't the most comfortable, but I'm quite picky about those!

Thank you for helpful feedback. More comfortable bedding comingpronto.
Modern accommodations with all the amenities makes for a comfortable ‘camp’ experience. Wether you’re cooking upstairs in the kitchen of outside on the grill, everything is there for you. Canoe and kayaks are provided as well to make sure you can see it all. We did the entire lake perimeter and we are amateurs at that. Our personal favorite part though is how nature is right in front of you all the time. Teaming with fish of all sizes lead to an entertaining display of the food chain just feet away. Then the ducks and two of the biggest loons show up with their families. A great blue heron the size of ‘big bird’ that I think lives on the small island in front of us, came strolling by a couple of times. Just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, the last morning while drinking our coffee at the picnic table, a young eagle came swooping in and gracefully snatch one of those fish not 20’ away and flew off... amazing sight we will never forget. The perfect Maine lake vacation for all ages. I had my 90 year old Mother with us and my 6 year old Grandson. We all left with fond memories to treasure. Hope to go back next year.
Third time renting from Jim and I can’t express how accommodating he is to your every need. Even when you have a problem that is not his fault, he is right there to make it more then good.
This place has everything you could need to have a fantastic time. Always a pleasure and we intend to return next year.

Susan and I love helping guests get as close as possible to pure enjoyment. Thanks, Don.
Beautiful lakefront property with modern conveniences. Spectacular view of a peaceful Maine lake. The owners provide many ‘toys’ to make sure you can enjoy it all. Highly recommend this place for families of all ages, just don’t take our week please....Lol.
We thoroughly enjoyed every bit of our one week stay in this lovely lakeside home. The site was as described, with a soft sandy beach area for swimming, a waterfront picnic and firepit area, and two kayaks for paddling around this beautiful lake. We saw loon families, an exquisite crane, and a hummingbird! The home was clean, comfortable, and fully equipped. Everything we needed was there! The hosts thoughtfully and generously left a gift certificate to a local restaurant, which we used for take-out while we were there. A wonderful experience!
We had another great stay and this time I brought a hammock for the trees! I appreciated the AC in the master bedroom and the kids as always loved the lake.

We had an amazing week at this property!
The property was just as described on VRBO. A beautiful yard and sandy beach on a peaceful lake. The lake was quiet with mostly kayaks, canoes and paddle boards. Occasional motor boats on the weekend. We took a few trips into Portland but enjoyed the rental so much, had no reason to go anywhere else. The house was clean and comfortable with all the necessities to make our stay relaxing including kayaks, canoe and firewood. The kitchen was stocked with little things you can easily forget to take on vacation such as coffee filters and foil. We were even treated to a gift basket with local Maine food products! We would definitely stay here again! Thank you!

An incredibly restful week amid lovely surroundings!
Upon arriving we were pleased to see that the house, yard and beach were just as pictured, and after settling in we were pleased to share that lovely spot on the lake with our children and grandchildren who visited for a time almost every day.
It's a great part of the lake for families - shallow and sandy. The kids declared it "really soft sand", and the table in the yard was the site of most meals, except for morning coffee.
Realizing you had no say in it, I'll also mention that the weather couldn't have been better: hot and sunny during the day, cool and good sleeping at night. Then it rained --
so we left! ;) But we brought with us wonderful family memories. Thanks for providing the place for us to do just that.

Great young family get away!
This was such a nice place to stay for the week, the house, beach and water were all clean and well kept. This was a perfect beach for my 5 and 2 year old. It was nice having a washer/dryer as well as all the towels and linens provided. The only reason I give it 4 stars, more like 4.5 was because only one bedroom had ac and it got pretty hot in the house. I would love more ac's in the bedrooms, or even some window fans in the living room to cool it down. Other then that, perfect and we hope to return next year!!

We've got fans in the bedroom closets for just this reason, but did not think to include this info in the house info binder. Glad you otherwise enjoyed.

Perfect in every way
We had a wonderful week on Raymond Pond at this lovely house. The owner is responsive and kind, and the house had everything we could possibly have needed. The living room is so comfortable, with a beautiful view. The kitchen is well stocked, the beds comfortable, etc. We appreciated that linens, towels, soap, and other such things were provided. The yard and small beach are perfect for relaxing, watching the loons, gliding out into the water in the kayaks provided. The entry into the pond is clear and shallow, making the water perfect for both people who like to swim in lakes and people who prefer to just do a little wading to cool off. We loved everything about this house and hope to return.

Fantastic lake house!
We just returned from an incredible week at this home. The property sits on the shore of a beautiful lake with stunning views to a nearby island and mountains in the distance. The sandy beach was ideal for my two children who spent most of the week swimming, kayaking, canoeing, building sand castles and making smores on the fire pit. The owners were great communicators, and they keep the house very well provisioned (we even arrived to a lovely welcome basket). We couldn't be more pleased with our stay and hope to be back! Thank you again!
