The Place was as clean as it could be for the age any needs were met quickly the size of the place excellent the bed a bit small for me i like and thought it was a king but it was a queen comfortable but a bit small for a larger person. other than that we had a excellent stay and do recommend.
We really enjoyed our stay. We loved the proximity to the harbour and restaurants. Lane was very responsive the one time we had a question. There was no corkscrew or dish towel (we left one), which is just an fyi if you want to enjoy a bottle of wine or use some dishes. No need lose stars for that.
Perfect walking location, loved the included parking spot around the back. Great communication from host, easy check-in omand out. Appreciated the coffee and simple kitchen items, but we loved the coffee shop two doors down. Stayed with our 15month old daughter and loved that the doors didn't creak, lol! Comfortable, high bed, however, we were happy we brought eyemasks since the bedroom curtains did very little to keep the light out. We'd gladly return.

Property requires some upkeep and work, bathroom in particular; shower curtain rod is duck taped together and help up by a chain that is screwed into the wall, with the screw falling out. We stayed there 3 days and only 1 1/2 rolls of toilet paper supplied.Unfortunately the location is on a major truck route that commences at 6:30am with transport trucks rumbling by with containers headed for the port. Directly outside the living room window is an LED white street light, that shines directly into the bedroom and the bed - room darkening shades would probably help.

In response to the review:
This unit is fully updated outside of the bathroom featuring an historic clawfoot tub. This is scheduled for renovation over the winter and will be updated to a modern more chic standard and new photographs will be posted. That said, the tub that is there is not held up by a chain, that it how it is suspended front he ceiling. We will see if we can remedy this prior to the renovation to avoid future confusion.
In reply to 1 and a 1/2 rolls of toilet paper, we have an onsite manager and guests only need ask for anything they need for a stay. We provide 3 contact number in our check in details and explain that if you need anything at all just reach out on VRBO or Text and we will address it immediately.
Our Suites are in the downtown of Halifax in the middle of the hotel district. The most consistent compliment we get on our units throughout the platforms we list on is that the location cannot be beat. The street traffic this guest speaks of runs down the main hotel street in the city and it not specific to our building location. This spring coming, the city is enacting a plan to entirely rid trucks driving through the down town and move goods out by rail exclusively. This is an unfortunate circumstance for all hotel owners in the down of the city and we apologize but we do our best to mitigate this with exterior storm windows. We don’t often get complaints but if your a very light sleeper this could be something that would wake you up.
To address the street lamp light, these are throughout the downtown of the city. This is not a special street lamp, it is one of 1000’s in use throughout Halifax. We have full drapes that are semi black out in place on the living room windows. That said, we also have a door on the bedroom… and I am not sure why the guest left that open if the black out blinds were not adequate to block the light. This would be an option for others to consider when staying here that the bedroom is not open to the living room.
We Appreciate feed back and try to address previous reviews that future guests can see our reply’s to feed back and complaints. We often try to mitigate issues or also explain to future guests how they can avoid issues themselves through our responses to previous concerns.
