Great Location

We usually stay at the outer banks for our beach vacations. We wanted to try something new and had a great stay in Surf City! We loved the area and the quick walk to the beach. The house had everything we needed and the host is very responsive to messages.

father's day weekend

Location was perfect. Just a short walk to beach access.plenty of room. Only drawback would be no detergent provided for dishwasher even though asked to wash dishes in dishwasher at checkout and no extra garbage bags for trash can.

This place is super fantastic for a family vacation. Plenty of space to spread out for comfort and no fighting over a bathroom. 2 levels , 2 kitchens and 3 of the 5 bedrooms have their own bathroom that have been updated , clean and well-maintained. In fact it has five bathrooms . Very updated excellent appliances to utilize. All the beds were very comfortable the sheets and the covers were just enough excellent air-conditioning and ceiling fans. Definitely appreciated the body wash shampoo that was provided in each bathroom.There were a few hiccups and I have addressed them with the owner personally which does not affect given this place five stars. You are within a hundred feet from the ocean and the convenience of only walk in a very short distance back to the house is most excellent.We had a small family wedding and this place was excellent to host a dinner party. In fact we loved this place so much we are going to rebook for next year and maybe even years to come. My family members will tell you that I am hard to please, but I was very, very pleased with our vacation rental. The owner Abbie is most excellent to work with and has excellent communication skills. Overall we were very pleased with our stay in Surf City!If you are looking for space, beach access convenience, my recommendation is off the charts. Walmart neighborhood market, and Publix close by and other stuff was within close proximity. Money well spent!

Inside was as described however no bureau in one of the downstairs bedrooms. Lived out of a suitcase for the week. The deck furniture fabric was torn. The two deck chairs were unusable as the cloth material had rotted. The outdoor shower was gross as it had a buildup of black slime. The yard needed to be mowed. The outside stairs to the second floor living area had unstable railings. Would have expected a better deck/outside experience for the money we paid. Outside did not make a very good first impression. Have pictures.

Perfect!

We had an amazing time at Surf City, NC. This property was exactly as described!!! We loved the split layout, it worked perfectly for the younger adults in the group. Perfect location and close to the beach. We rented bikes and biked to the local restaurants and shops! Hope we get the chance to stay again. Abigail was great to deal with!! Thank you for the great memories in your beautiful home.
