Perfect Family Vacation Spot - Cabin on Balsam Lake

Welcome to Worries End! Our family cabin is a short drive from the Twin Cities and is the perfect place to relax for a summer or winter vacation.

Our cabin was built in 2016 and offers 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a good sized basement family room, sitting room with a fireplace and a porch just steps from the lake. There is a queen bed, a full size bed and a bunk room that offers 2 full beds, a twin and a full trundle. It has all the conveniences of home, including central air conditioning. Outside there is a flat lawn on the lakeside and 2 docks that provide fantastic swimming and fishing.

Balsam Lake Wisconsin is a premier vacation location. It is 25 minutes from St Croix Falls and about 75 minutes from the Twin Cities. The lake is 2000+ acres with great fishing and water fun. The local Marina (Sunnyside Marine) has boats, pontoons and other water toys to rent. There are 2 restaurants that you can boat to on the lake and countless other great eating spots within 20 minutes of the property. Turtle Lake Casino, Wild Mountain, Trollhaugen and Taylors Falls are all about a 25 minute drive from the property and offer many fun activities. For the winter enthusiasts, the lake is great for ice fishing and the Gandy Dancer Snowmobile trail is right there.

Summer #4 for our family at Worries End...which really says it all. We love this place. Scott is an extraordinary host and really steps up on all the details of his beautiful property and any follow-ups required (truly not many of those). The large family-sized screen porch was the perfect hangout place for our family whether that was for a special breakfast with a lake view or a card game to end the day with a beautiful lake breeze and full moon shimmering on Balsam Lake. Upon arrival the place was spotless as it was in the past and, we were pleasantly surprised by the new smart TV located on the screen porch. Nice touch Scott, thanks for giving us additional memories of watching the Brewers while enjoying the feel and smells of being outside. Some of the other highlights include great pan fishing for the kids right off the pier, a boat ride to the Thirsty Otter for lunch on their deck overlooking the lake, multiple fish frys on the oversized picnic table, foosball or a kids movie in the basement, and a trip to St. Croix Falls for go carting and Fawn-Doe-Rosa (animal petting farm that is a can't miss for kids)...and at the end of the day the large bunk room was full of tired sleeping kids. We are already in the process of booking next year's trip to Worries End. If you are lucky enough to find availability you should jump all over it. Your family will be impressed and thank you for being such a thoughtful host.

Amazing lake home

Cozy Red House

Our young boys had a blast fishing off the dock, kayaking, and a day of boating on Balsam Lake. The house itself was great and the screened-in porch was a perfect late-night gathering spot.

Balsam Lake is a place my family was going to before I was born (1953) A very nice well-appointed home done in a wonderful Wisconsin lodge theme.

We purchased this property in 2014 because its wonderful location close to the Twin Cities, its south facing exposure and the fact that the property is flat to the lake. We love the Balsam Lake area with its lakes, shops and restaurants. We are a very active family and there are many fun activities for all of us, while still providing a wonderful opportunity for rest and relaxation from our busy lives.
