Welcome to The Marram Shorehouse — your private waterfront getaway on the quiet shores of Scotland, Maryland. Just 90 minutes from Washington, DC, this serene setting invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and soak in the rhythm of the tide right from your doorstep.

With 7 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms spread across two spacious levels, the home comfortably accommodates up to 14 guests. Each floor features its own fully equipped kitchen, cozy living area, and private entrance—ideal for multigenerational families or two groups traveling together. Gather for shared meals, game nights, or movies, then retreat to your own floor for quiet time.

Inside, large bay-facing windows fill the home with natural light and ever-changing waterfront views. Open-concept living spaces, comfy seating, and thoughtful touches create an easygoing coastal atmosphere perfect for every season.

During warmer months, spend your days kayaking, exploring the shoreline, or collecting shells along the private beach that appears at low tide. As cooler weather arrives, curl up with a book, gather around the outdoor fire pit under the stars, and watch migrating birds drift across the water. Need to catch up on work? Important Information:
A signed rental agreement and list of all overnight guests (names and ages) is required before check-in.

Two outdoor security cameras are located on the property: one facing the driveway and one facing the waterside entry and bay. There are no cameras inside the home or in private spaces.

Guests should bring their own firewood and charcoal for use with the fire pit and grill.

Remove personal items and remove leftover food and drinks
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Return all outdoor equipment to the storage area, including but not limited to kayaks, life vests, noodles, etc. Return all chairs, cushions, and equipment to their original locations.
Turn off all appliances. Turn off the gas fireplace; extinguish any wood fires and close the damper.
Log out of all streaming services on the Smart TVs. Double-check for personal belongings.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Our home is for respectful groups only: renter 25+, max 14 guests (names due in 48h). No parties or events; please honor quiet hours 11p–7a.
No pets or indoor smoking. Fireplaces are not for guest use. Violation fees may apply for extra guests, late checkouts, noise, or heavy cleaning.

The location of this property is amazing. You will not find a better location. Amazing views of sunrise right on the water. The house is decorated beautifully with enough space to be together and find alone time. There are plenty of outdoor toys the most fun being the paddle board and kayaks. We had a wonderful family trip. Robyne & team provided quick and helpful responses to our questions. The space and location were perfect for our family. The home had ample space for our large family to hang out and relax during the evenings. And there were activities for everyone. Some went fishing, while others went swimming, kayaking, stone searching, building sand mounds etc. But the highlight was probably chasing crabs and scooping them up. This was our first time crabbing so everyone had so much fun!
