The Rustic Anchor is a serene haven nestled between Houston, Round Top, and Austin. It offers a perfect escape for bass fishing enthusiasts and Antique enthusiasts seeking a peaceful retreat near the lake. Rustic Anchor offers a perfect blend of comfort and natural beauty. Surrounded by lush landscapes, guests can enjoy serene views and occasionally encounter local wildlife. From playful critters outside to unexpected visitors inside, the retreat is a haven for nature lovers. The property is diligently maintained, with regular pest control treatments applied after each stay to ensure a pleasant environment. While guests may occasionally spot remnants of these wildlife encounters, they are reminded of the unique charm and tranquility that this retreat provides.
The Rustic Anchor ensures easy access to all the essentials for a successful fishing excursion. With a bait shop on the premises, you can rest assured that any forgotten supplies can be easily obtained, allowing you to focus on enjoying your time on the water.

This is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the beauty of nature with its two bedrooms with an open concept kitchen and living room. It has two bathrooms connected by a pocket door. One bathroom has just a shower and the other bathroom has a shower/tub combo. The house also has a large laundry room. The front door and patio door have are operated by keypads.

The house and patio area are available to guest of the Rustic Anchor. The On the Lake Bait Shop is open to guests Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Monday 7:00 am-1:00 pm. The bait shop is right through the patio gate and down the walkway. Please note that due to our distance in the country side WIFI can be spotty at times.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds, gather used towels and store extra beds
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights
Please take all trash to the dumpster in front of the bait shop. Put all dirty sheets, towels, and comforters in the laundry room.
Please do not pour any grease down the sink. If needed put it in a container and freeze it. We will dispose of it.
Make sure all mini splits are turned up to 80, All toilets are flushed. Please leave the house in the condition you found it.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Cars cab park in the driveway or on the grass to the left of the driveway. No parking in the roadway or on the neighbors grass across from the house.

This property is great! Kids loved the theme of the house and everything was in order. Pet friendly. Close to downtown brenham with plenty to do for the whole family!

The property was very clean and the house was very warm and inviting. WiFi was a little big shaky but everything else was absolutely amazing! The hosts were super helpful when I had questions. I recommend this listing!

Thank you for the kind words. The WiFi box is located in the bait shop. Unfortunately it goes out in the country sometimes. The best spots for WIFI are outside on the patio, at the game table, and out the dining room table. We look forward to hosting you again.

Beautiful Wildlife

Jodi was amazing she made herself available and was accommodating to my families needs. The home was clean and the scenery was beautiful, you can tell it was well kept and full of love. If we are ever back in the area we know exactly where we will be staying.
