Welcome to Sandy River's Hush, where we invite you into a haven of quiet comfort, adventure, and genuine connection with nature. As your hosts, we've designed this space with the spirit of rest and exploration in mind, honoring the flow of the river and the peace it brings.
Tucked on 1.2 acres of riverfront along the Sandy River, our cabin offers a rare blend of seclusion and convenience—just 2 minutes from Hwy 26, yet it feels like a world away. The hush of the river can be heard from every corner of the property, especially when you open the back door of the main cabin.
Inside, the main cabin features a fully equipped kitchen, a warm and inviting living/dining area with a wood-burning fireplace, a reading nook, and 3 bedrooms with 3.5 bathrooms. The main floor includes a king bedroom with an ensuite bath—soaking tub and separate shower included. Upstairs you’ll find a queen bedroom with an ensuite (tub + shower), and a third bedroom with three twin beds, just next to a full bath with shower.
Next door, the detached garage is set up as a gear-friendly zone—a great spot to drop and dry everything after a day on the mountain. There’s space to tune bikes, snowboards, and skis, making it a perfect basecamp for year-round adventure. Above the garage, the bunkhouse includes a full bath and four built-in bunk beds. It's ideal for kids or night owls—equipped with a TV, streaming apps, and a PlayStation.
Every bedroom is outfitted with Pendleton bedding and every bathroom with soft, Pendleton towels. Cozy blankets are tucked throughout the cabin. In the kitchen, you’ll find everything from a Nespresso machine and kettle to an air fryer, Instant Pot, and griddle.
We’ve taken care of all the details so you can focus on what matters: relaxing, listening to the river, and reconnecting—with yourself, your people, and nature.
A few helpful notes:
- RIVER ACCESS: While the property is river front, the water is approximately 40-50ft below the cabin. There is a trail to the water but it can be challenging for some. You can absolutely enjoy the river from the deck, but if you want to be level with the water please know that you'll have to navigate the trail down. Once down there, there is a small beach in the summer but it's usually below water in the higher winter waters.
-PROVIDED SUPPLIES: We provide wood (large, medium, kindling) for your stay, as well as coffee (beans and Nespresso pods). The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and cooking supplies (including basic, non refrigerated, pantry items such as salt, pepper, olive oil, vinegar, and a spice mix). The right side of the garage has racks for your bikes, skis or snowboards and a handful of outdoor camping chairs you are welcome to use. All bathrooms have hand soap and lotion, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and a hair dryer.
-GRILLING: There is a basic charcoal Weber grill and a Napoleon smoker available for you to use, but we do not supply the charcoal. Please bring some and enjoy!
-SEATING & DINING: Inside the main cabin there are several seating areas (from multiple couches, to wingback chairs, to large bean bag chairs!). There is a dining table that seats 6. Outside, under the gazebo, there are two picnic style tables that seat up to 12 total. The back deck has 2 rocking chairs and a small table, as well as a bar height table (connected to the deck railing) and 3 barstools.
-BEDS: Four of the twin beds listed are in a separate, detached space from the main cabin (a fun bunkhouse above the detached garage). The other beds (one king, one queen, three twins) are in the main cabin.
-OUTDOOR SPACE: The property is located on a small dead end gravel road. Most of the neighbors live there full time and it's a very quiet, peaceful community. No loud/late night parties are permitted. That said, there is still plenty of space to spread out and spend time outside in a park like setting. Lots of room for yard games, small retreats, elopements or even photo shoots! We even have a DIY "bucket golf" course set up and wiffle balls and clubs you can use.
