4/10 Poor

Disliked: Check-in, communication, location
Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience, especially considering how much we paid for a two-night stay.Check-in was supposed to be at 4:00 PM. We arrived around 5:41 PM—well after the scheduled check-in time—and the cleaning crew was still inside the property. They told us they still needed approximately 20 more minutes and still had cleaning downstairs and laundry to finish. This was an awful way to start a trip we had spent a lot of money on and had been looking forward to.What made the situation even more frustrating was the host’s response. I reached out about the cleaners still being there, but instead of acknowledging the issue or trying to make it right, the host disputed what I was telling them. I also did not receive responses to my messages about the cleaning crew being present. Being treated as though I was not being truthful about something I personally experienced at the property was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. We paid nearly 1,200 for only two nights, so I don’t think expecting the property to be cleaned, ready, and available well after the stated check-in time was unreasonable. The poor check-in experience and the way the situation was handled put a major damper on what was supposed to be a special trip.Based on our experience, I would not stay here again. The lack of communication and accountability from the host was ultimately more disappointing than the delayed check-in itself.

Very clean. Adequately supplied kitchen. House was a bit warm especially upstairs until after air conditioner kept active for a full night and day. Kept room doors closed to help cool upstairs. Great comm with owner. Quiet neighborhood and great location accessible to all amenities.

Good but could be great

The house was clean & well stocked & very quiet inside. The only large downfall was the a/c in the 3 bedrooms did not work well at all. The entire upstairs was very hot & muggy until the sun went down. Then the mainfloor bedroom was hot all night. The house will be perfect if the a/c is figured out. We had a mouse surprise us in the kitchen but that was not a huge ordeal.

The property was in a quiet and safe area. It was clean with ample towels and toiletry items. However, the A/C was suboptimal, especially the upstairs bedrooms where window units could not cool effectively. They did supply extra fans to help. The downstairs bedroom was tiny and without a bathroom. The very tiny 1/2 bath downstairs was difficult to use due to its small size, and the wall paper was falling off on all walls. The upstairs bedroom without an en suite bath had a closet that could not accomodate dresses, so I had to use another closet. The detached bath had no towel bars or hooks. The back yard was large and enclosed with good grass for the dogs. All in all, the house was okay but some attention to minor improvements would make it more appealing.
