Hidden Dunes Cottage 217 Professionally Managed by Newman-Dailey

Hidden Dunes Cottage 217 will help you say hello to the sunshine and goodbye to the storm clouds of stress hanging around! The bright yellow walls, sunlit rooms and close proximity to the beach make happiness absolutely contagious. Gather the whole gang for a home cooked celebratory meal prepared in the upgraded kitchen that features granite countertops, new appliances and a sliding window to the screened-in balcony. With a combined seating for 17 to dine there will be plenty of room to toast and celebrate your wonderful Destin vacation.

Part of living that carefree Destin resort lifestyle includes water activities and Cottage 217 is the portal to liquid relaxation! Soak in the Master Suite’s Jacuzzi bath, swim in one of the many pools nestled in Hidden Dunes acreage or take advantage of the deeded beach access for Hidden Dune’s guests then play in the rejuvenating waves of the Gulf.

Hidden Dunes also provides access to its pro tennis center featuring six clay courts, a basketball court, a horseshoe court, the Hidden Dunes lawn around the lake and acres of natural foliage . Even though you may feel miles away from it all, just beyond the Hidden Dunes gates lies epic shopping malls, golf courses and dining options.

Hidden Dunes offers six tennis courts with a Rubico Clay surface, which is the highest standard for clay tennis courts, and are maintained daily in order to provide the best playing conditions. Proper tennis attire is required to play and we encourage you to call ahead to schedule a match or take advantage of our clinics and private lessons. Please call to inquire about cost per session and equipment rental prices. Our friendly staff invites you to join for a game or two.

2 PARKING SPACES PROVIDED!

We require a minimum length of stay during the summer and over holidays.
We do not rent to anyone under 25 or to students. We require 1 parent for every 2 people under 25.

Guests receive a welcome kit with small dishwasher detergent, dish soap, sponge, a roll of paper towels, and laundry detergent. There will be an initial trash liner in each receptacle and a set of toilet paper and soaps for each bathroom provided. Guests will need to replenish supplies for longer stays. In addition to our welcome kit, we also supply basic cooking essentials like salt, pepper, and oil.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

Thank you for taking time to leave your review. We are so sorry that you saw some unwanted pests during your stay. All of our properties, especially the heavily wooded, lush properties like Hidden Dunes get regular pest control; but despite our best efforts there are still occasions when they come in from outside. It is usually following a particularly wet or dry period or when some type of maintenance has recently been done. Again, we apologize that they made an appearance during your stay. We hope you will give us the opportunity to host you again!

Overall location of Hidden Dunes is great. Have stayed in community multiple times. My guess is that the owners of this unit don’t visit their own property. There was a lack of commonly used items like basic salt/pepper. The ice maker would maybe produce 24 cubes a day, at best. They need cheap ice trays. They had 1 blow dryer and it did not work. The dish washer sometimes cleaned well and other times you would run it and the powder would not release. There is absolutely NO storage at all and that isn’t the fault of owner but had to keep dry goods in rubber maid containers for the week. What you don’t see jn photos is that the washer and dryer are right in the foyer and the doors don’t close so, when you run it, the noise is loud. I noticed in reading reviews that someone in summer of 2018 complained about the mattress and I must say, the owners have NOT addressed!!!! The mattress so bad that my hound adult children’s backs were hurting by mid week, the other items we adjusted to but that was the worst!!!! The photos online are from when they must have listed originally, I am a realtor and I know how photos can make things look better than they are BUT this unit is beyond “tired!” I always take reviews with a grain of salt so I will end by saying this is the very first negative review I have ever given a VRBO property and I am close to 60! I took photos to show difference but don’t see how I can add them here!

Please note that we strictly adhere to the health and sanitation codes of the State of Florida Health Department which prohibits any food item (including spices, oils, and even ice) from being left from one guest to the next. We do not require our owners to supply blow dryers, but we apologize if there was a non-operational one in the unit. We will take your comments to heart and investigate the bedding and the general state of the unit to see where improvements can be made. Again, we appreciate your honest assessment and we look forward to the opportunity to host you again in the future!

It was a nice experience to stay at the house. Very spacious and very clean. We enjoyed staying. The only thing that we didn’t like is the bed wasn’t comfortable and it was sinking while we sleep.

Beautiful and lots of space!

Wonderful property, there were some leftover gummy bears from the previous people staying. Not a big deal, but a choking hazard for my littles. There was a outlet cover off with wires but they fixed it very quickly. We will probably stay again! We have a large family and this accommodates all of us!
