Escape to the "Z" Resort, a tranquil canal-front retreat located just outside Oak Harbor in a peaceful residential community—offering the perfect balance of comfort, space, and the laid-back charm of island living.
Just 35 miles north of Seattle, Whidbey Island is the gateway to the breathtaking San Juan Islands and offers some of the best boating and coastal exploration in the Pacific Northwest. Arrive via a scenic ferry ride from Mukilteo to Clinton or drive around via the iconic Deception Pass Bridge—either way, your island adventure begins the moment you travel here.
This home sits directly on a quiet canal with direct access to Skagit Bay, making it a dream for boaters, kayakers, and water lovers of all kinds. Step out onto the spacious deck and enjoy panoramic views of the water. Whether you’re sipping coffee at sunrise, launching your paddleboard for an afternoon on the water, or relaxing in the evening with a glass of wine as the sun sets to the west, the connection to nature is constant and calming.
The private community dock is perfect for boating enthusiasts and can accommodate vessels up to 55 feet in length (shallow draft required at low tide). Guests often spot seals, seabirds, and the occasional eagle soaring overhead. When the tide is right, try your hand at seasonal crabbing or walk along the nearby shores of Dugualla Bay State Park in search of sandy beaches and sea treasures. The rhythmic sounds of the water and the salty breeze create a serene backdrop that instantly melts away stress.
Inside, the home features an open-concept design that creates a seamless flow between the spacious living and dining areas and the fully equipped kitchen, complete with a gas range, refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher. Large windows throughout bring in natural light and frame peaceful views of the canal.
There are two private bedrooms: a king bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and a queen bedroom with a full bath just steps away. A separate family room includes a vintage pinball machine for a fun, nostalgic touch and offers additional sleeping space with an additional queen-size bed. The living room features a cozy wood stove, and guests can enjoy a big-screen smart TV for streaming, DVD player with DVD library, and stereo system for entertainment.
This home is dog-friendly, so feel free to bring your furry companions along for the adventure.
Come enjoy the beauty and simplicity of true waterfront living at the "Z" Resort—your perfect home base for exploring all that north Whidbey Island has to offer.
