The Alton Lodge is awesome! It is a beautiful log structure that is warm and inviting! It was the perfect place for my wife and I to stay on our way from Zion NP to Bryce Canyon NP. We enjoyed the hiking trail up the hill behind the lodge as well as the night sky full of stars. Seeing a herd of elk on the way into Alton was icing on the cake! We highly recommend the Alton Lodge!

Pretty good
Nice and clean. Not as private as we thought based off description of booking. We ran out of hot water one night because our neighbors and us all showered at night. If it had been not everyone at the same time it likely wouldn't have been an issue.
All in all a good stay, it served our purpose and was perfectly in between both parks.
Sidenote: the place needs a can opener. :)

Had a few issues
We arrived in the dark. It was hard to tell if we were at the right place as there were not numbers on the buildings and cars/trucks were parked all over. The spot in front the garage that was ours was taken. We did get locked out for a bit due to the door locking and we did not put the key in the pad lock. Totally our fault. The weather was unreasonably hot, the AC was in the livingroom only. We opened the windows for the night. Unfortunately the cows were mooing all night very loudly. We live in the country near farms but this was very loud. Theey said they were weening the calves. We hardly got any sleep. We left a day early not really caring about the loss in money. The house could use a good dustinng and cobweb removal. It is quaint and location is remote for those who want to get away from the city. were res
We stayed here for a quick trip to visit Zion & Bryce. It was nice b/c it was b/w both. My only "issues" were that there is literally nothing (stores, gas, restaurants, etc) around unless you want to drive at least 20 min. I guess thats partially my fault since I didnt really look on maps. The other thing I would recommend is maybe an update & deep clean. It was decent but could use a good sprucing up.
This is a great location, close to Zion and Bryce. Very clean and has everything needed to relax after a long day.

It was a beautiful location, nice inviting cabin, and the bed was so comfortable. Recommend to anyone who wants a nice little get away, away from the crowds
We stayed at this beautiful log cabin apartment for 2 nights while visiting Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks. Its location was perfect for that. The place was spotless and the heated floors were something new to us. If you eat at restaurants, it is a drive to any, but if you bring in your food, everything is there to prepare.
Was a wonderful location and away from the hustle and bustle! Beautiful location and very nice. It is laid out well and the views were nice. Had a grill on the patio for cooking and small kitchen. Bring your own condiments and apices though. Other than that we had everything we needed!
Very remote but a great location between Zion and Bryce Canyon. The cabin was very comfortable. The WiFi and Satellite TV were great. Would recommend but make sure to bring your own food for meals.
Apartment was clean and had everything we needed for our trip to Zion and Bryce. Check in was very easy and property manager provided all necessary information in an email prior to arrival.

Clean, cozy, and in a beautiful location. Far from stores & restaurants but in a great middle location between Bryce & Zion. The cabin was warm during the day but cool at night since we went during a very hot week.

Why they chose this property
Alton is a peaceful community nestled in a secluded, quiet farming valley just a few miles from the main road. The valley is surrounded by unbelievable scenery and is truly a special place. One guest said it best, "If there were more places like Alton, the world would be a better place!"
What makes this property unique
This apartment is a real log home with some fantastic modern twists. We love the rural town of Alton. The streets are quiet and the people friendly. The little valley is under the pink cliffs that light up with the setting sun.
