This was one of the best rentals I have stayed in! The space was very cozy and welcoming. I enjoyed the beautiful views. This home was very thoughtfully decorated, well-stocked with everything you could think of. We especially appreciated the hot chocolate bar with all the mixins, the cozy beds and bedding, even soft throw blankets in the family room. I was impressed by the quality of kitchen supplies and super sharp knives! We would love to stay again.

The property is absolutely beautiful and I can’t wait to return! The beds were comfy, the kitchen was generously stocked with anything you would need for a home cooked meal and everything was spotless! It was so clean! The back deck has a beautiful view of Gandfather Mountain and is the perfect spot to curl up with a book. The host was communicative and helpful.

Our story began in 1992. At just 15 and 16, we had more dreams than means—but we trusted the plan of a faithful God. Over the years, we’ve raised five children and welcomed five precious grandchildren. Tim and I have now been married since 1997, and through every season, our close-knit family has remained our greatest blessing.

Our mountain home, Heavenly Heights, is a testament to God’s provision—not built by our strength or success, but by His unwavering grace. It’s a place of rest and reflection, lovingly shaped by the One who supplies our every need.

When we’re not soaking in the peace of the mountains or spending time at our home in Wilmington NC, you’ll often find us RV camping at Ocean Lakes Campground in Surfside Beach, SC. It’s one of our favorite places to slow down, enjoy coastal life, and make lasting memories with the people we love most.

We chose Echota because it felt like the perfect blend of peace, beauty, and community. Nestled in the mountains, it offers breathtaking views, quiet trails, and amenities that make it feel like a true retreat. It’s also centrally located—just a short drive to both Banner Elk and Blowing Rock—so whether we’re craving a cozy meal, a day on the slopes, or a bit of shopping, it’s all close by. What made it even more special is that my sister and brother-in-law own a home just up the hill. Having family nearby in a place that already feels like home made the decision an easy one.
