Great communication, great location, plenty of room for our large families, lots of friendly deer in the yard and nostalgic decor. Thanks for the space!

We rented for long weekend. The house is in a great location if you ski Saddleback, and has a very spacious layout; lots of room for families to spread-out, including the basement with pingpong and a tv. Fireplace was a plus and the property has great views, including herds of deer looking perfect in snow covered field. Great refund timeline.Future renters should review the listing and the photos carefully, as the house is lived-in. We found the overall condition to be fine, but were disappointed at the cleanliness and condition of the kitchen and its readiness for guests. The owner does leave cooking essentials/spices/pantry items as noted, but also left unfinished food and perishables in the fridge, including nearly spoiled milk, and there was little room for the 3 days of food we brought (refrigerated and non) for our party of 8. The kitchen was not cleaned well (including coffee left in the pot, the fridge shelves/drawers, oven smoked into the house each use, mouse droppings in the pots/pans cabinet) – we spent time cleaning upon arrival. We also encountered a situation with the clothes dryer that did not work after doing a load of wash. After contacting the owner (who was responsive), he asked us to use the pair of pliers that were waiting on the dryer to operate it. We tried this, having to remove the dial and try to manipulate inside the dryer casing with the pliers, but were not able to do anything and we had to return home with the wet load of laundry. Bummer.
