We really like the cabin only recommend possible a couple hooks to hang some things and maybe some curtains on the back window but other than that, it was excellent and we loved it. We would definitely go back.
Overall, we had a really cool experience and would absolutely recommend it. How many people get to say they've camped in the heart of the North Cascades? It was definitely a memorable trip.
The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is just a couple of communication issues that could be easily improved. I had some trouble receiving the check-in email (which may have been a technology issue), and once I received it, I wish it had included a reminder to check for any burn bans before purchasing firewood. We bought firewood and s'mores supplies before arriving, only to find there was a burn ban in effect.
The other suggestion is regarding check-in. The instructions clearly explained how to retrieve the keycard from the lockbox but didn't mention that you also need to take the key for the A-frame cabin. We left it behind because we didn't want to take something meant for another guest, only to arrive and realize we needed it.
Neither issue ruined our stay, and both are easy fixes. Overall, this was a unique and memorable experience in a beautiful location.
