About this property

Snowshoe in the Northern Cascades ( shoes provided), stay in a luxe Scandi cabin

Discover luxury off-grid glamping at this Scandi-inspired designer cabin in the North Cascades which was featured in Dwell Magazine. Vaulted ceilings, hardwood floors, and expansive windows showcase designer details and forest views. Relax in the spa-style indoor/outdoor bathroom, then unwind on the decks or by the landscaped fire pit. Peaceful yet minutes to the Cascade River and world-class hiking, it’s the perfect modern zen retreat for nature and design lovers.

Step into a Scandinavian design sanctuary tucked beneath the towering evergreens of the North Cascades. This modern 1-bedroom cabin was crafted as a minimalist, deeply romantic retreat—where clean lines, warm woods, and natural textures blur seamlessly into the landscape.

Inside, vaulted ceilings, curated Nordic furnishings, and expansive windows create an airy, light-filled haven. Every detail is intentional, from the hardwood floors to the sculptural lighting, giving the space the feel of a boutique design hotel—only wilder, quieter, and entirely your own.

The heart of the cabin is its spa-like indoor–outdoor bathroom, designed for slow mornings and intimate evenings. Start your day in the walk-in shower with forest views, then step outside to your private soaking tub beneath the trees, where the scent of cedar and the sound of the river set the mood. At night, soak under a canopy of stars with soft lighting and the crisp mountain air wrapping around you. It’s forest bathing—elevated.

A cozy loft nook offers a peaceful spot to read or unwind, while the sleek wood stove sets the tone for romantic nights in. Outside, the large deck flows into a landscaped fire-pit lounge, perfect for long conversations, stargazing, or simply listening to the quiet. The kitchen is stocked with a delicious coffee bar complete with K-cups, or French press, hot chocolate and tea. The brand new designer kitchen has all the tools needed for gourmet cooking and salt, pepper, oil and other spices. While the cabin is off grid, you can choose to remain connected by using high speed Starlink internet.

Whether you’re celebrating something special or just escaping AI for a design-driven glamping experience, this cabin offers a rare blend of Nordic minimalism, natural beauty, and soulful privacy. Pet friendly, with a modest pet cleaning fee.

Cascade River Park is an off grid gated community with a mix of cabins, homes, yurts and RVs. This cabin is not secluded, it is within this gated community with neighboring structures. The park has a community gathering area right on the Cascade River with swings, picnic tables and BBQ pits.

North Cascades National Park is minutes away on Cascade River Road, with the visitor center in Newhalem about 30 minutes away. The world renowned coveted Cascade Pass to Sahale Arm Glacier is 45 minutes away. In the winter, it is a great destination for snowshoeing and two pairs of snowshoes are provided in the cabin during winter.

Marblemount is a quaint small town with 2 restaurants, and 2 gas stations, and the last town with some services before the pass. Concrete is the next closest town with grocery and other stores, so it is best to plan your stops before getting to Marblemount.

Additionally, due to the rugged snow in the North Cascades, HWY 20 closes seasonally through the pass mid-Nov to Apri based on road conditions. Marblemount is accessible only from the west side of the Cascades and during snow, while the roads are plowed make sure your vehicle is appropriately equipped for the weather conditions.

Please note that this is a rural and off grid area, which is surrounded by dense forest and wildlife. Food and trash must be stored inside, or disposed off in the community dumpster near the entrance.

Additionally, the cabin is off grid and it runs on battery which is charged by the solar panels and the generator. This set up is automated but you may hear the generator run on occasion. No EV charging is supported due to the off grid nature of this cabin.

The community has well sourced water which is checked daily, sometimes there is a boil notice but the kitchen faucet has a filtration system attached and a Brita filter in the fridge for your added protection. Additionally, please note the stairs to the loft are steep and may not be appropriate for everyone. Please book only if you’d be comfortable climbing steep, narrow stairs. There is a sofa bed on the first floor that can provide alternate an sleeping arrangement.

This was a cute cabin and owners have done a great job at decorating and suppling it. We enjoyed the fireplace, outdoor shower and tub. The bed was very comfortable. The stairs to the bed are very steep and small steps, so if you have issues with steps be cautious. The surrounding neighborhood is not as clean as this place, but luckily the forest encloses the view for you!
